After presenting his project the other day, Fourth was feeling particularly exhausted. And he gladly uses that as an excuse to skip classes today.

Gemini left early morning for work and he wasn't awake to really say anything. Not like they even had much to talk about anyway.

Now he's sprawled out on the couch, a cozy blanket draped over his legs. The soft hum of the TV filled the room as he searches for a certain show to entertain himself. A bowl full of chips rested on his stomach.

He settled on watching Law & Order. Just when he's about to push the bowl closer to himself, a buzz vibrates under him.

Slightly irritated, Fourth dragged his phone out from beneath him, only to be taken aback by the caller ID.

It's Gemini's mother calling.

He shot up in an instant, and rushes to accept the call. Fourth placed the bowl aside whilst pressing the phone next to his ear.

"Hello?" The boy nervously spoke.

After a bit of shuffling on the other line, the woman's voice finally appears. "Fourth? Can you hear me?" She asks.

"Yes, aunty. How are you?"

"Aunty?" Her tone leaked with offense. "I did not marry my son to you for you to call me aunty!"

Fourth bit his bottom lip, blushing. "S-Sorry, mom." He staggered at the foreign word on his tongue. "We haven't..talked in some time." The boy trails off.

She strictly hummed in agreement. "Gem is always busy, so I thought I'd call you, dear. How are you guys? Is everything going alright?"

Despite smiling at her caring intentions, he couldn't help but let the silence linger for a moment.

Gemini's mother is an enthusiastic woman. She also bears a lot of talent. According to what she excitedly told him on a random day he had visited her before their wedding, she was quite the intellect, and served multiple high positioned jobs until her retirement.

She's the type of woman whose conversations never have an end. As most of her experiences thrived for a long time, she'll keep blabbering about them at any given opportunity. Fourth honestly adored the lady's mannerisms. There was a very distinct dissimilarity between her and her son.

"Everything is alright so far, Ma." Fourth ended up replying. "What about you? How are you? And Pa?"

She clicks her tongue in annoyance. "Your papa won't leave me alone. He's begging to see you!" He could already picture her scrunched up nose as she says that. "And I'm doing good, dear."

Fourth smiles. He never suffered the warmth and comfort of parental affection. The role couldn't be replaced by his aunt either. As a consequence, he fostered a sense of self-independence at a younger age.
