Hiccup's POV.
.......................................
Astrid, Stormfly, Toothless and I had landed a few meters away from the forest lining. We crept through slowly and quietly until we could see the beach. Sure enough, there was a small ship with five very familiar Vikings coming of it.
"Gobber! Fishlegs!" I gasped.
"Snotlout! The twins!" Astrid finished in shock. We glanced at each other with what are they doing here faces.
"What should we do?" Astrid asked.
"I guess we should do what we always do if there's a visitor. We show ourselves." I told Astrid as I placed my mask on. She put her mask on and we then walked out.
.....................................................................
Snotlout's POV.
....................................
Arghh! Why do we have to go on a camping trip! This is gonna be so boring. Ruff is interested in herself or Fishlegs. And Astrid isn't even here! I can't believe she betrayed us, for...for those.....Dragons!!
"We're here!!" Gobber yelled, making us all jump. He grabbed his small pouch that held all of his......stuff, and we grabbed our things and jumped onto land. Gobber than told us the rules and all the boring stuff.
".....And I think that's it." He finally finished. That's when a branch snapped, making us all whirl around. A young man under a mask walked out, followed by a girl with a Deadly Nadder mask. She looked really familiar. But when she pulled out a double sided axe, I decided that she might not be the best of company.
"Who are you?" The man suddenly asked. We gave him curious or confused faces. He sighed and then made a low sound to the girl, she nodded and then made a high-pitched whistle. Suddenly a blue and yellow Nadder flew out from the trees and landed behind the girl. It spiked its tail and shot a row of spines in between us and them.
"Woah! Don't kill us! We don't even know who you's are?!" I yelled annoyed. The girl chuckled under her mask.
"And I suppose you think that's funny? Well let me show you!" I snapped. She stopped chuckling and watched me grab my favourite mace and stroll towards her. She gave the man a nod and then swung her axe at me. I dodged perfectly and swung my mace. She dodged and then grabbed my hand and twisted it back, causing me to let the mace go. She really reminded me of Astrid. I fell to the ground with a thud and the girl stood over me. Her blue eyes were angry and she was gritting her teeth. Those eyes, her strength, her body form. They all reminded me of Astrid.
"Don't mess with me!" She snarled. Finally it clicked!
"Astrid?" I asked. She froze. I used this as a chance. I swung my legs up and hit her in the back, causing her to fly over my head. I rolled backwards so that I was on top of her. She had dropped her axe and was defenceless. I grabbed the mask and ripped it off her face.
"No way!"
"It couldn't be!"
"What the?!" The gang gasped, except the man who was staring at me.
"Get off me!!" Astrid yelled. I stood up and she got up, dusting herself.
"Babe, I thought you were dead!" I tried to come closer but a sword that was on fire flew past my head. I turned and glared at the man who had thrown it. His green eyes stared daggers at me.
"Stay away from her!" He growled. I sized him up. He was about six feet tall and was very fit. However he wasn't muscular like me.
"Seriously man. I could beat you any day!" I said sarcastically. He suddenly lunged at me and knocked me straight off my feet. He pulled out a small knife and held it to my throat. I held my hands up in submission.
"I'm to young to die! Please don't kill me! I am a worthy person!" I cowered.
"Since when was Snotlout worthy?" Ruffnut asked.
"He wasn't silly. I was the worthy one! I. Tuffnut Thorston!" Tuffnut puffed himself up with pride. Gobber smacked him in the back making Tuff fall flat in his face. Ruff chuckled.
"You guys just have fun over there! And when your done, could I have a little bit of help?" I snapped. Gobber waddled over, grabbed my shoulders and picked me up. The man had stood up a while ago and was currently talking to the girl silently.
"Mutton head." Gobber muttered to me. I shook my head and turned to face the man.
"Hey! I'm not finished with you yet!" I walked over with a purpose. However, I didn't get to him because something swiped me off my feet! I groaned and rolled over to come face to face with a black head and emerald green eyes.
"Night Fury." Everyone gasped.
"Enough scaring Snotlout Toothless. You can have your fun later." The man ordered the dragon.
"Now I'm going to ask you's all once more. Where have you come from and what are your names?" The man rubbed the Night Fury's head as he spoke.
"We all come from a island called Berk. I'm Gobber. This is Fishlegs, and the two dimwits are Ruffnut and Tuffnut. And the even dumber one over there is Snotlout." Gobber gestured to all of us.
"And as you have figured out, this is Astrid and her dragon is named Stormfly. And my name is......well....I can't tell you. But my Night Fury friend is named Toothless." The man explained.
"And why can't you tell us your name?" I asked.
"No reason." Came the reply. Now there was and awkward a silence that lasted about two minutes.
"Aye lad, can I talk to you a second. In private." Gobber hobbled over to the man. He nodded and the two walked away. All eyes now turned to Astrid, who was admiring her axe.
...................................................................................
Astrid's POV.
........................................
"I can't believe it's you!" Snotlout said, obviously still in shock.
"Well it is me. Get over it!" I snapped. I wonder what Hiccup and Gobber were talking about.
"Please come back Astrid. Berk misses you." Fishlegs approached. Stormfly shot another row of spikes, making Fishlegs run back behind the twins.
"Sure. All Stoick wants is my head! I'm never, ever going back to that hell hole!"
"But...."
"No buts! Unless Stoick was to fall down on his hands and knees and beg to have me back on Berk, I'm not going back." I stopped Fishlegs and explained why I would never go back to Berk. He nodded glumly and stared at his feet.
"I'm sorry guys. I shouldn't have snapped. It's just......I belong here. Here with Hic.......I mean him." I gestured to Hiccup and Gobber.
"And the dragons?" Ruffnut raised her eyebrows at me.
"And the dragons. Stormfly has always been there for me. Toothless has always been there for him. And we are helping others to understand that dragon are kind, gentle creatures that bring people together." As I spoke to the gang, Gronckles, Nightmares, and two Hobblegrunts walked up behind me.
"Is that.....a Hobblegrunt?" Fishlegs gasped.
"Yep."
"Can...can i touch it?" Tuff asked.
"Sure! All you have to do is take off any weapons you have on. And then hold the palm of your hand out to the dragon. When you feel a scaly nose against you, it means that you have bonded with the dragon." I told Tuff what to do. He nodded, and to my absolute surprise did exactly what I told him to do. Within seconds the male Hobblegrunt had his nose against Tuff's hand.
"Wow!"
"Unbelievable!" The gang gasped. Hiccup and Gobber walked over. By the look on Gobber's face, Hiccup had told him who he really was.
"Did you tell him?" I whispered to Hiccup. A small nod was all I got.
"Well Hiccup has kindly allowed us to stay in his island as long as we wish." Gobber had the hugest smile on his face I had ever seen.
"Hiccup?!!"
