Sophie POV
By the time Elwin had arrived, the tension that had been present had begun to dissipate. People were smiling for what must have been the first time in weeks between the stress of fighting the Neverseen and my death. I had many questions, but only one big one: "Can someone please explain to me what happened during the Great Gulon Incident?"
Keefe smirked and leaned back in his chair. "Ah, the Great Gulon Incident. A story of mischief, mystery, and-"
A knock at the door cut him off.
I glanced towards the sound, then back at Keefe. "Seriously? Again?"
He shrugged, smirk growing larger. "I guess I'll have to tell you later."
I groaned. "Come on! This happens every time!"
"I'll get the door." Grady stood and exited the room.

Grady returned, closely followed by Elwin.
Elwin looked tired and worn, as if he was beginning to look his age. I hadn't realised my short time dead had affected this many people.
His gaze locked onto my face, eyes widening in surprise. "Well. How unexpected."
I forced a smile and did jazz hands. "I'm back?"
Elwin huffed and placed his satchel on the table before rummaging through it and pulling out various different elixirs, balms, and his glasses. He gestured to a chair. "Sit. I'm going to do a checkup."
I obeyed, watching as he snapped his fingers and summoned coloured spheres of light that hovered around me. Magnus shifted on his feet. Elwin frowned before snapping his fingers again and dissipating the light.
"Well?" I prompted.
Elwin nodded thoughtfully. "You're definitely alive."
"I'd be worried if I wasn't."
"You're practically the same as before, but there's something different about you physically. Your cells look rejuvenated and stronger, almost like they've been remade." He adjusted his glasses. "There are some discrepancies, however. All your scars are gone. Every. Single. One." He sighed. "I bet your abilities are stronger now. Have you noticed any differences?"
Shrugging, I said: "Haven't really used any since I, well, died."
Elwin hummed, "Well, I wouldn't be surprised if something changed. The only thing I can recommend for you is that you rest and actually sleep tonight." He turned his attention to Magnus, who was leaning on a wall at the opposite end of the room. "I don't know you."

386 words
I haven't had enough free time recently to write a full chapter, so I apologise for that.
The next one will hopefully come out soon if I'm in the mood to continue this fanfiction, so we'll see.
(I thought I'd published this a while ago when I didn't - sorry)
As always, if you spot any SPaG errors, please let me know.
Bye 👋

FanfictionAn idea that I had when I noticed that there aren't many crossovers between kotlc and Magnus Chase. The first few chapters may be similar to the first Magnus Chase book, but it will go on a different path to them. ---------------------------------- ...
