Chapter 10: Awkward hearts

Dixon stands up still holding Ambers hand he helps her up "come on... You should get some rest." she gets to her feet, Daryl wiping the tears of her face "It doesn't matter what you've done, We've all done things we not proud of... We did what we needed to survive....Before & after this whole mess. Bad people they, just don't care, they don't care if their good... Tough as hell to make this far alone." still sombre she hugs Dixon & they walk back inside together.

Amber stops at the door to the living room, leaning against a wall she pulls Daryl close and kisses him gently. He hesitated for a second pulling away slightly before leaning towards her kissing her back, putting his arms round her. His hands where firm but gentle. Her lips stung with pain from the cuts covering her face. She didn't care, kissing him rougthly as her tummy flip wildly, her heart almost beat out her chest as he kissed her back just as firmly. His left arm wraped tightly around her waist, his other cradled her cheek running it's fingers through her hair.

Her hands moved down to tug at his belt but he pulled away panting for air, as if he'd just amerged from a deep body of water. "Wait.." Dixon stops her "I...uh..." He stumbled on his words trying to process the situation before him & what he was feeling.. his arms felt uncomfortable as if they didn't belong to him, his left hand running throught his hair resting on the back of his kneck as he head bowed looking at the gorund where she stood "we, don't have to..." he said finally his words left his mouth without a second thought.

"I know" nervous but sure she adds "but, I want this... Don't you?" she moved closer to him looking down at his feet, hoping he wouldn't turn away. Instead he carsed her face resting his forehead to hers.

Dixon stumble on his words as he whispered in his gentle husky tone "I... I don't wanna hurt you" cautious about the fact she was basically black and blue. How could she still be standing, she looked as if she'd barely survied a car crash. A huge burise that almost covered the entire left side of her face, her collar bone, legs and back coverd in cuts and brusies.... But here she was standing in front of him even more beautiful and just as strong as when they first met.

Every movement hurt, her bones ached. Everyword burned her throat. But to her the pain was nothing, her mind was the worst form of torture in this world. She had always found physical pain to be a release of the pain caused by her thoughts and emotions, she found that the pain from both kind of balanced each other out. "...you won't" speechless, still frozen where he stood his head resting on hers, his heart racing, unsure of what to say or do. All he knew was that all he wanted was to kiss her and never let go.

Before either of them could think anymore, they were intertwined once again. This time it was him that kissed her relighting the fire storm that raged inside them. Primitive animal instincts taking over all thought, all reason. An unrelenting force of pure adrenaline, craving the touch of one another like and addiction that could never be satisfied...

Amber felt panick begin to overwhelm her as she pulled away shaking, her breathing unsteady. Sobering up, Daryl felt ashamed as he watched Amber move back into her corner . . . memories of what felt like another life starting creeping their way into her mind as she beat them away. Her head now buried into her knees as she tried to calm herself.

"Amber?" her mind brought back to the world around her by a husky voice "Amber...?"

"U-huh..." Daryl could see the fog clearing from her eyes as she lifted her head to look at him.

"Are you, okay..?" Daryl asked in concern ...She didn't know how to react. Her mind a blur. She felt sick, like crying & wanting to hurt something... all at once.
