Jasmine breathed a sigh of relief when she saw Rose make it to the exit of the cave. She trusted her ability to protect the boys. She turned towards the monsters closing around her. There had to be at least twenty of them.

She swung her whip again and knocked a couple that had gotten too close to her down. They were quite slow on the surface. They would be challenging to fight in the water, but she felt confident that she could handle them on solid ground. They snapped their beaks at her angrily.

She still couldn't see where the armor was hidden. There were only so many places in the cave it could be. She had a sinking feeling it might be at the bottom of the pool of water in the center of the cave. She held the whip in her hands, and it transformed into a sword.

The sirens hissed at her but backed away at the more dangerous weapon in her hands. Jasmine knew she'd need to kill them all before she took a dip in the water. She did a 180 turn and swiped the chicken head clean off of a siren that tried to sneak attack her from behind. The head rolled onto the ground with the tongue sticking out of the beak lazily. Just grotesque.

She charged at the sirens in front of her. She stabbed one in the chest, stuck her foot on her abdomen, and ripped the sword from her ribcage. The siren began to gargle on its own blood before collapsing to the ground. She turned around and swiped another's torso from its body.

She continued to slaughter them mercilessly until only she and the larger siren were left. She assumed the larger siren must be the leader. The siren hissed at her before diving into the water. Jasmine groaned before throwing the sword on the ground. It dissipated and splashed into a puddle on the ground next to her feet. This siren was clearly more intelligent than the rest. She was changing the setting of the fight to somewhere that she would have an advantage.

Jasmine wasted no more time. She dove into the pool after the siren. If she was lucky, maybe the beast would lead her straight to her father's armor. The water was darker than she expected. She could barely see in front of her. This was not good. She was too vulnerable like this. She needed to swim back up.

Before she could kick her feet to swim up, she felt a sharp pain and looked down to see the siren's beak closed around her leg. Jasmine punched the creature in the face, causing it to lose its grip. She needed to be careful. This thing would be able to bite her leg clean off if it got the right angle. She looked around her frantically. It was no use. She couldn't see a single thing.

She looked down, and her eyes widened. She saw something sitting in the sand below. It shimmered slightly when she looked at it. That was the armor!

She felt the siren collide with her right side as she pushed her into the wall. Jasmine held her shoulders as the monster's beak snapped at her face repeatedly. Jasmine used all her strength to keep the monster away from her face. The siren made a mistake by showing itself and not finishing her off with one blow.

Jasmine used the water to hold the siren in place. Waves wrapped around her arms and legs like rope. Jasmine pulled the water as if the siren was laying on a medieval rack. She screamed in agony as her limbs were ripped from her torso. Jasmine grabbed the monster's neck and began to squeeze it. The creature's wails turned silent as its eyes rolled in the back of its head. When Jasmine was satisfied she was dead, she dropped the monster to float to the bottom with her tail and limbs.

Jasmine swam over to where her armor had been slightly buried in the sand. She brushed the sand away and grabbed the armor. It began to buzz and whirl in her arms. It glowed bright blue, and Jasmine felt like she was on a high. She hugged the armor to her waist as she swam and breached the surface of the pool.

Rose's eyes widened as she stood over the pool. "I thought I was going to have to go in after you." She released air she was holding in relief.

Jasmine grinned before holding the armor above the water in triumph.
