The TV was playing a catchy tune, all bright colors and dancing figures. Suddenly, the picture went fuzzy, the music stopped, and a loud BEEP blared from the speakers. The screen turned bright red, and big white letters flashed:
EMERGENCY BROADCAST.
Then, the red screen disappeared, and a woman in a news studio appeared. She looked serious. "We interrupt this program," she said, "for an important announcement. Scientists have discovered that the sun is going to… well, it’s going to do something really bad. It’s going to send out a giant burst of energy, a solar flare, and it’s going to be so strong it could destroy the Earth."
Behind her, a picture of the sun showed up on the screen. It looked way different than how it usually is, Underneath the sun, numbers started counting down:
29 days, 23 hours, 59 minutes, 56 seconds…
The numbers kept getting smaller.
The news woman continued, "This is going to happen in thirty days. Just thirty days until the sun… destroys the earth.. We’ll have more information as we learn it."
"hyung is this real?" jungkook turned his gaze towards Namjoon who was finishing up his bowl of fruitsalad.
"i guess.. But usually they have a solution for everything.. But this is really scary.." namjoon replied, his tone slightly shaky even when he tried to stay composed.
"what if there really isn't any solution..?"
"we don't know anything yet"
