If there's one thing I learned from the doctor, it would be there is always a way. I wish I would have known that an hour ago. To think I thought it was over. It's never over. Every time I escape it's harder and harder. And now I lost him.

*a little after you last read*
"I got it!" The doctor said. "They feed off of discovery. And only one species does that. Garada."

"That's great now how do we get out of here?" I say. "Well that's the thing. They generate new places every time we exit a room, making them stronger because we discovered the new room, therefore, making more rooms, and so on."

"Well that's just awesome. How do we get out of here then? Close our eyes?" That was only half sarcasm. "That would never work, we would have to close off all of our senses somehow, almost in a comatose state. Or just sit here, but how would that help?"

How are we going to get out? That pretty much makes it impossible. I know! But that's really risky. "Maybe only one of us has to be in the comatose state." But how would we get in a coma thing. Wait this is crazy! What if the one dies, or doesn't wake up?

"You really think we couldn't hear you?" The voice said. Oh crap I forgot about that. "Oh we knew!" The doctor said. "We did?" "Oh yes! That's the thing, but what will we do next?" Keeping them guessing, I like it. Sneaky, doctor.

"Yes it was Selene." Huh? How did they know that? "We can hear your thoughts too. Did he forget to mention?" I looked over to him. "Honestly, I didn't know." I rolled my eyes. "I've never actually been with one. They just taught us about them in the academy! They never mentioned that." I rolled my eyes again.

"So I guess since we can't do anything about the comatose state as they read my thoughts!, we just have to run though with our eyes closed." Here goes nothing. We walked toward the door. It suddenly became dark, and we closed our eyes. "Run."
And I did. Every room smelt different, and the floor and walls were different textures. I tried to breathe out of my mouth.

Eventually we ran out of breath and stopped. "Doctor?"
"Yes Selene?"
"Can you hold my hand? I'm um, I'm afraid of the dark."
"Good you should be. Fear keeps you alert." And he grabbed my hand. I know it's silly to be afraid of the dark but I was ever since I can remember. We started up again, and I felt his hand slip away.

" I think we should go this way. We came from the other right?" I asked the doctor. "Yea I think so." He sounded kind of serious now. That made me even more scared. We started that way, but then I felt a wood textured wall. Was it a door? I felt a knob and turned it. As soon as I walked in I heard the doctor say something panicked. I couldn't make it out. I opened my eyes.

I was in the same room I started again, but he was gone.
Oh no.
