This was not supposed to have happened. She had gone to see the old lion to plead for his intervention between Joffrey and her sister. To ask......to beg for him to speak with the king, and have Joffrey direct his cruelty to someone other than Sansa, even if it were her, she would take it; (Y/n) unable to be forced to watch as her sister was viciously berated and punished, any longer, by the likes of that odious sycophant, Meryn Trant, because the young king was too much of a coward to do his own dirty work.

She hadn't wanted to ask permission for an audience with him; she hated him as much as she hated the rest of his family, as she detested anyone that was from the line of the lions, with perhaps the exception of Tyrion, who was as despised by his own family, as the Starks were. And she knew that it was one thing to have him agree to seeing her, but to have him do something that would aid her sister; especially given what was going on with her brother, was another, but she had to try. She had to protect Sansa. (Y/n) only happy that Arya had somehow been able to escape the vile capital, she praying to the gods that wherever the youngest she-wolf was, she was safe. Yet now, as she stood before Tywin, she had to think that what he had just said, was some kind of dream........a nightmare.

"My........my lord.............?"

"You wish for my assistance on behalf of your sister.........?"

"Yes.......as I have just said............"

"Then, my lady, those are my terms............." Tywin told her, as he sat back in his chair and finally looked up at her. (Y/n) sure that she could see a small smile pull at the very corners of his mouth.

"But.......but why.........I have nothing............"

"You are the late Eddard Stark's first-born child, are you not............"

"I.......yes, I was born just over a year before Robb. But my brother is the heir to Winterfell........."

"Yet if something were to happen to your brother; say, when he loses this war, you will become the Lady of Winterfell, will you not.......? The north would look to you as Eddard's oldest child, even if you are his daughter. You see, I have heard tell of not only your popularity with the northern lords and smallfolk, but also your intelligence. Heard tell that your brother would give anything to have you by his side, as you are quite the strategists, despite your gender. So, when your brother is dead, an alliance between the Lannisters and Starks would give the Seven Kingdoms a stability that it so needs. Would bridge the gap between the north and the rest of the kingdom, bringing into line the lords that have sided with your brother. Therefore, you have a choice, lady (Y/n); it is you or your sister. You say yes, or I will have you imprisoned in the black cells, leaving you there to die while your sister takes your place, and the north is ruled through her. You agree to my terms and become my wife, seeing that my own heir has chosen the white cloak over his duties to his House; and Tyrion........well, I cannot trust him not to turn Casterly Rock into his own whore house, never mind be able to keep a young woman such as yourself, under control. You will give me new heirs that will rule over not just Casterly Rock, but the whole of the north, and I will ensure that your sister is never hurt again. In fact, if your youngest sister is found, I will also ensure that nothing ill befall her, either. So.........." Tywin explained, before leaning forward over his desk.

"What do you say..............?" (Y/n) continuing to stare at him in disbelief. The she-wolf having to wonder if the old man had quite lost his mind. He must know that she wanted nothing more than to kill him. To take the life of anyone that had even a drop of Lannister blood in their veins. To make the lions suffer just as much as the wolves had been made to suffer. He must know that he made her sick, that with or without her, Robb would not fail, and he would truly be not just the king of the north, but of the entire Seven Kingdoms. Yet she could not allow this man, a man that was old enough to be her grandsire, to bed Sansa; that poor child had been through enough, already, and (Y/n) would not let her suffer any more. So, she knew what she had to do; she would have to sacrifice herself, her own happiness for the sake of her sister, and hope and pray that her brother would be victorious. That when he rode into Kings Landing to take the crown from Joffrey; he would allow her to place Joffrey's, Cersei's and Tywin's heads on spikes for all to see, just as their father's had been. (Y/n) letting out a heavy sigh, before looking up at the lion.

"Very well, my lord........I agree to be your wife and provide you with new heirs. Just stop your daughter, your grandson and any of their cronies from hurting my sister, or anyone else that I love.........." The she-wolf replied, as she drew herself to her full height, raising her head and making it appear as though she wasn't scared at all by the prospect of being the old lion's wife. That she wasn't disgusted at herself for agreeing to this; that she didn't hate herself for the thought that gnawed at the back of her mind, that she was being disloyal to her family. Yet what else could she do. (Y/n) standing her ground, as Tywin rose from his chair and made his way over to her. Her stomach twisting and turning in quite the most unpleasant way, as he placed his hand on her cheek.

"A wise decision, my lady. And you have my word that from now on, you and your sister are under my protection. Neither Cersei, Joffrey nor anyone else will be allowed to hurt either of you........." Tywin assured, before leaning in for a kiss.
