"Well, will you look at that......" (Y/n) said quietly, as she carefully stroked the feathers on Katesto's head. The falconer seeing a familiar horse, ridden by a man with a familiar crop of dark blonde hair, making their way towards the small house.

"Looks like the golden lion has some sense after all......" She continued, as she took in the clothes he wore. The finery of his last visit, replace by something more practical, hardwearing. Something far more suitable for the chores she was going to be giving him today, than the silks and velvets that nobles, like Jaime Lannister, usually wore. He now looking like a normal, everyday man......well, perhaps not an everyday man. (Y/n) having lived on the outskirts of the Kings Landing all her life, been to many of the villages, into the city itself; and not once had she ever seen one of the smallfolk that looked anything like this lion. Not once had she ever seen a man that seemed to shimmer in the sunlight, even when dressed in simple clothing. She finding herself smiling as he drew closer to her home; finding herself wondering if his hair was as soft as it looked. If his lips.........(Y/n) shaking her head. Tapping the heel of her hand again the side of her head, in an attempt to rid herself of the thoughts. She knowing that there could never be anything between the pair. It one thing that he was from one of the noblest Houses in the kingdom; but more, he was a Kingsguard, and she knew that Kingsguard's took an oath. Part of which was a vow of celibacy. She having to think that such a thing, was a waste of a man. (Y/n) letting out heavy sigh, before placing the hood back on Katesto's head, then making her way out to greet the lion.

Jamie made his way towards the falconer's home. He had risen earlier that morning and dressed in far simpler clothes. Something hardy, woolen, warm; something more conducive with cleaning out a hut full of various birds that eyed him as if they wanted to eat him. He not daring to think what (Y/n) would be having him do that day.......A smile coming to his lips, as he thought about her.

If truth be told, he hadn't been able to get her out of his mind since he met her. It hard to believe that she was one of the smallfolk. He had seen many of the people that lived in the city, in the villages that surrounded the capital. He had seen the smallfolk of the north, and many places between Winterfell and Kings Landing, but not once had he ever come across a woman that could rival her in beauty, in passion, and that included Cersei. The sudden thought of his sister, the mother of his children, making him feel guilty as if he were betraying his twin. But he was doing nothing wrong; it one thing to think that the woman was beautiful, and another to act on it, which he never would. (Y/n) was just different, a woman with an attitude, a way about her that he had never experienced before; and he was intrigued, that was all. He sure that sooner or later his interest in her would wane. That her differences, her outspokenness, would become tiresome, annoying; or at least he hoped they would. Afterall, he was a man of noble birth, the oldest son of the Hand of the king. A Lannister.....and a Kingsguard. And though he had perhaps never been a good one; he having three children to prove that the vow of celibacy had never meant a thing to him, it did mean that he couldn't just seek out any woman he wished. Certainly not some humble falconer. That, and he knew what Cersei would have done to (Y/n) if he did get closer to her, and his sister found out about it.

Finally, he got to the small stone home; (Y/n) already there, leaning against the wall, with her arms firmly crossed over her chest. She looked even more lovely as the light of the morning sun gently kissed her features; even more that she should be dressed in silk and velvet, in furs and jewels. Though he had to think that being a lady, would ruin her. That she wouldn't have been so down to earth, so wonderfully herself, if the gods have given her a noble name.

"And what time of the morning do you call this, Lannister......?"

"I am here earlier than I was yesterday......." Jaime countered, as he dismounted his horse.

"That is true, but still not early enough. I think that you love your bed too much to be truly good with birds. That you need too much beauty sleep to keep yourself so pretty......." (Y/n)'s eyes widening as she suddenly realised that she had said that he was pretty; she glad that he had made no comment back. That he seemed too busy securing his horse, to have heard what she had said. She quickly deciding to change the subject.

"Well, if its anything like yesterday, you won't have broken your fast. So, food first, and then you can make yourself useful around here. There's wood to stack and bring in the house; water to fetch from the well......"

"And what has that to do with the birds. To do with you teaching me how to handle Hesperus......?" Jaime asked, as he came to stand in front of her.

"It has everything to do with the birds. I am no use to them, if I am cold and get sick. I cannot be clean and keep their surroundings clean, without fresh water. And you are an apprentice; and an apprentice has to earn their keep. So, fancy boy, you eat and then work. Then, if you are lucky, I will let you spend some more time with Hesperus. Now, come on......." She told him. Rolling her eyes, before making her way inside. Jaime smiling slight, and shaking his head, then following after her.
