Tsubomi stared out the window of the RV, staring at the road and the cars driving past them. Marry and Seto were busy playing a game on the Xbox and Shuuya was driving. Momo was pouting because the RV didn't have wifi. It was kind of like she was part of this big 'family' even if no one was actually blood related. She gripped the seat as Shuuya made another one of those oh-so-frequent swerves.
"Idiot, you're going to get us in an accident!" She barked.
"We don't have money if we get sued," Seto added.
"I'm having fun with this! Besides, without any excitement, this trip will be boring," Shuuya argued.
"I don't want to die, Seto-kun, please take over driving!" Marry begged.
"It's just that someone might get suspicious if a bunch of kids are going camping with no adults. Because of Kano's power, he can make himself look like an adult driving,"Seto explained.
A few hours later, everyone arrived at their destination.
"Wow, the woods are so pretty! They remind me of my own forest! Wait, this is my home!" Marry was ecstatic with joy as she leaped into Seto's arms to hug him.
"Sorry, everyone, I lied. We will be camping out in Marry's house,"Seto informed everyone.
"It's lucky that I keep my keys with me all the time!" Marry took the keys off from around her neck.
"Would you,by chance, have wifi?" Momo whined.
"Sorry, my mom didn't believe in having internet," Marry said, a dark cloud hanging over her face.
Everyone was silent. They knew that Marry still mourned the death of her beloved mother, Shion.
"It's ok, Marry-chan! Momo can live without checking her phone eight hours a day," Seto caught Momo's eye, to make sure she caught the hint.
"I have lots of rooms~everyone can pick one for themselves!" Marry said brightly.
"Thanks so much!" Momo gave Marry a hug.
Everyone dashed off to get the best rooms for themselves. Tsubomi lingered behind. If push came to shove, she could always sleep on the couch. However, she had checked the weather report on her phone before coming to Marry's , and there was a 100% chance it would storm. She had never liked to sleep by herself during storms, and in an unfamiliar environment like Marry's home, it would be frightening. When she was younger, she had always slept with Shuuya when she got scared. She had stopped for fear everyone would tease her about it, among other reasons.
"Commander? Have you picked out your room? Everyone's chosen, and it looks like you're stuck with Marry's mom's old room," Momo said.
Tsubomi gulped. Great, now I'm stuck in Marry's deceased mother's room on a stormy night. Could things get any worse?
"T-that's j-just great, Momo! Thanks for so kindly telling me," Tsubomi answered with a slight edge to get voice.
"O-ok then..," Momo replied uncertainly.
Thunder rumbled. Shuuya looked at the time. It was ten o'clock and he was getting tired. Besides, Seto had promised they would all get up bright and early to have a day full of physical activity. He made his way up the stairs to his room. Then he heard a strange sound. Coming from the room Tsubomi was staying in. Concerned, he went in the direction of the sound.
"Hey, Tsubomi?" He knocked on the door.
The door flew open, and while blushing profusely, a pajama clad Tsubomi blurted,
"Is it ok if I sleep with you tonight? I'm a b-bit scared of the thunderstorm!"
"Thought you'd never ask."
