For the first time in a while, I wake up alone. It feels as though something is missing beside me. Disregarding that thought, I throw my legs over the bed, attempting to get up. As soon as I'm up, I get myself ready for the day.

Satisfied with my appearance, I make my way downstairs ready to make myself some breakfast. Before I can do so, a knock on the door interrupts me.

Opening the front door, I'm met by two of my favourite faces once again. I open my arms, inviting my baby- Angelo in. "Ready to enjoy some mother-son bonding time?" I ask him.

"I can't wait. I missed you." I press a soft kiss upon his head before averting my gaze to Simon.

"Thank you for taking him again last night, I was just a bit busy." I thank him.

"No worries, he enjoyed his time on his playstation anyway. I think he's still a bit tired from staying up too late last night." He chuckles.

"Anyway, I better get going. You two enjoy your time. Bye bud." He engulfs Angelo before waving goodbye to me.

As soon as he leaves, we walk back into the house before I begin making him breakfast.

"Pancakes as usual?" I ask him.

"Sounds good." He says. Every time I look at him, I remember how small he was when I first held him and now he's grown to be such an incredible human being. I'll always be so proud of him.

Once again, the door goes. My house is turning into more of a social gathering venue than a home. With a roll of my eyes, I stop what I'm doing to answer the door.

Opening the door, I'm face-to-face with Rich. My eyes widen in shock, unable to think of what to do in this situation.

"Hi." Is all I can manage to squeak out.

"Are you okay?" He asks, clearly aware of the pallidness that has creeped up on my face.

"My son's here." Are the next words I hear myself saying.

"Oh, I see. Listen I can go, I just left my wallet here." He says with a smile.

"Come in, it's alright." I return the smile.

I invite him in before leading him towards the kitchen.

"Baby, this is Rich. I guess it isn't the best of times to tell you but you're old enough now. He's my boyfriend." I'm so nervous for his reply.

"Oo la la." He giggles.

Well, that went better than expected.

"Your mum tells me you like gta? We'll have to have a game together sometime." He suggests.

"That seems like a great idea." He smiles.

"He really shouldn't, he's only 12." I say, unimpressed.

"Nearly 13, actually." He fires back. His cheek is something he's certainly inherited from me.

"Oi, don't talk back. Anyway, you're taking this surprisingly well." I raise an eyebrow at him.

"Yeah- well, daddy has a girlfriend so it's fine." He says nonchalantly while indulging into his pancakes.

"What?! Why didn't you tell me? Is she nice. Is she pretty?" I'm completely shocked.

"Got any more questions?" He asks, smirking.

All I do is give him the 'you better shut your mouth' look which very quickly shuts him up.

"Anyway, I better get going. It was lovely to meet you, Angelo." Rich announces.

"I'd like to see more of you, just don't break my mums heart." Angelo warns.

"I wasn't planning on it." He winks which causes Angelo to chuckle.

Seeing them get along warms my heart. I avert my attention towards Rich before saying
"Bye babe."

I press a soft kiss on his lips before he leaves.

"Bye babe." Angelo mocks.

"Your attitude is getting worse, it's that phone of yours."

"What does my phone have to do with any of that." He laughs.

"Shut up." I smirk.

Me and my baby have always had an unbreakable bond. No matter how tough things get, we always have each other. My love for him is unconditional and watching him accept Rich the way he did, makes that love grow even more.

Can you tell I've ran out of ideas lol. Gonna get this book finished as soon as possible so that Undenied Connection can have my undivided attention.

I'm so tired, I need sleep.
