Chapter 13

Ashton's POV

Luke and I walked in school hand in hand. Luke dropped me off at my locker while I went to his. I got my textbook for my first class. Then I felt a tap on my shoulder I turned and saw it was Brett.

Ignore him. Keep walking.

I couldn't do it. He had me cornered. "Hey baby." He said. "Go away." I said. "I'll go away if you do one favor." He said. "What." I said getting annoyed. "You dump Luke and come to me." He smirked. "Now why would you do that?" I scoff. "If not something really bad will happen to Luke." He said threatening Luke.

"No, you can't touch Luke." I say looking at Luke seeing he was smiling with his friends. "Your choice babe." He said. "But promise me you won't hurt Luke." I say. "Promise." I sighed,"Fine, I'll do it." He smiled deviously. The bell rang and we went to class.

School ended and I walked home being the first one there. I was doing my homework when there was a knock at the door. It was Luke. "Ashton you've been avoiding me the whole day." He said. "Luke I think we need to break up." I said and his face fell. He nodded and left the room. He didn't even put up a fight and just like that I lost him. I lost the person who meant the most to me.

This is all your fault you realize that.

"I know." I mumbled. I cried on my bed and I felt an earthquake. I didn't move until there was a knock at my door again. This time it was Brett. "Did you do it?" He smirked. "Yes I broke up with him like you said Brett." I cried. "Don't cry babe you have me." He said putting his hand on my thigh. "Don't touch me I lost the love of my life and now he's gone. All because of you." I say.

"Get out." I said. "Okay see you tomorrow." He smirked.

Why does life hate me?

I went to the bathroom and grabbed my blade. You'll never get better.

You'll always be pathetic and worthless.

"Shut up! Shut up! Shut up!" I screamed.

Luke and I walked to school without saying a word he went to his friends while I went to my locker. I grabbed my book and as I was walking to my class someone pulled me in the band room. "What do you want Brett?" I ask. "That's no way to speak to your boyfriend." He says. "I don't want you as a boyfriend the only person I want is Luke, you made me break up with him and I lost him you did this." I said.

"I only did this because I didn't want you hurting Luke, I did this because I'd die for him." I said. "You would do that for me?" A voice asked. We turned and it was Luke. "Well of course I would." I said shyly. He came towards Brett. "You made him break up with me you did this!" He yelled at Brett. "You shouldn't heave done that!" He yelled and he punched him right in the stomach leaving him there helpless.

He came towards me. "Luke I'm sorry he said that if I didn't break up with you he would hurt you and I didn't-" He cut me off with his lips on mine. I felt like I was on cloud 9. He separated but he hugged me. He looked at me,"You would rather die for me?" He asked. "Yes I would because you Luke Hemmings have done so much for me and I couldn't thank you enough, you have everything to live for the perfect family and the perfect life while I have nothing to live for." I said.

"But if you died I wouldn't have the perfect life anymore because you wouldn't be apart of it." He smiled. "Take me back?" I asked. "Of course princess." He said kissing my lips. "You wanna ditch." He said I nodded.

Luke's POV

"Ashton, when you said you have nothing to live for what did you mean by that?" I asked. "Well, if I were to die, I don't have the perfect family and I don't have the perfect life but I really would like that but I would think that I would be better off dying." He said. "If you would die I would do it with you because every time you say I have a perfect life that perfect life is with you so if you were gone I would have a perfect life anymore." He smiled.

"No one has ever cared enough for me to go through anything with me and I am so grateful for you and for you doing all that." He says. I pull over at the curb and we walk underneath a tree.

"Ashton, you had made me feel like I have never felt before you make me happy when you're happy I love your smile, your laugh, your personality and I love everything about you, you had made me a happier person by just being you. I love taking care of you because it makes me feel like a great boyfriend it makes me feel good because I want to be able to take care of you and make you happy no one else can do that but me and I want to say I love you so so much Ash you have no idea what you're doing to me." I breath out.

"Luke I love you too." He smiled and brought our lips together. When we separated it started snowing. "You know you are my first kiss and first love." Ashton said. "Good because you're mine." I said kissing his cheek.
