Mina went back to her seats while her friends looking at her with curious gaze. They already finished with tidying the table, Momiji was still reading her favorite book and her other friend waving her hand when the blonde girl was arrived.
"So? Was it true that they're dating?" Mikyou tilted her head as her arm sustained it.
"I don't know," Mina shrugged after sitting on her chair, "she said that Akazaki was her best friend."
"Then, the rumor was correct. They're more than friends," Momiji said while closing her book while her magenta eyes glistened with something.
"I don't care about that rumor anymore," the blonde girl sighed, "They are them. It's not my business to interfere."
Mikyou teased her, "really? The cupid of the school said that?"
"Yes, and... How did you know that title?"
"That's a common story in this school, like a legend. Everyone already knew about your successful love advice to anyone who asked your help. I think you should prepare for underclassmen's cries for help of love confession. Isn't that great, Mina the Cupid?"
"Haa... I don't want to deal with that again. It's hard to be popular," she complained while slumping on the table.
"But," the brown-haired girl smiled, "you love it, don't you?"
"Shut up... You made me embarrassed," Mina pouted.
"Oh, sorry. I didn't notice that," Momiji smugly closed her book, "you don't love their attention. The only one you need is Shin-san's attention, right?"
The blonde's ears turned red. Her friend was right, she craved the offspring of Shin's family's attention since their first meeting. There's a reason why though – But, how can she tell her friends that he resembles someone she knew from a long time ago?
"Ahaha... You can say that," she smiled awkwardly.
Suddenly, she felt something comforting her shoulder.
"I apologized that I went too far,' Her brown-haired friend gazed at her "but, Mina... Are you okay?"
A pair of green eyes also concerned, "yeah. Are you feeling sick right now?"
"Hmm? Oh. Yeah..." Mina dazed for a while then her fingers fidgeted, "I'm okay. Just my mind wondering something to talk about. Do you mind to listen?"
"Sure. Tell us more," Momiji nodded while Mikyou raising her thumb up.
"Eto nee... Momi, Kyou. I invited Uzu – Reina to join us for lunch together tomorrow. Will you girls okay with it?"
Two pairs of the eyes brightened as their hands' applause erupted with joys.
"That's great, Mina! You did a great job!" Mikyou grinned as she rubbed the blonde hairs in fast motion.
"H-Hey! Don't make a mess of my hairs!"
With a proud gaze, the black-haired girl then stopped messing her hairs. Sometimes, the owner of blue eyes had a feeling that her friends unconsciously acted like her older siblings. She's not even sure where did she got that conclusion. Mina just knew that her friends were trying not to hurt her like her family did to her. It's ironic when the people who knew her the best weren't the people who wanted her in the past.
If only... My family treat me the same way they do genuinely...
When the blonde-haired girl almost fell into deep thought, Momiji continued to suggest idea for their next lunch plan. "Then, how about we eat at the canteen? We could buy something for her so she could be comfortable with us?"
Mina snapped out from her daydream then exclaimed, "that's a good idea, Momi!"
"Yeah," Mikyou also accepted her suggestion, "we might even ask her phone numbers too so we can add her to our group chat."
A sudden bell's ring finalized their discussion. All of the colored eyes saw the giant clock that was built in front of the school. It's already time for them to go to their next class. They nodded with each, and then, the leader of the group concluded their meeting in a heartbeat.
"It's decided. Let's hope there's nothing to stop us from befriending her."
