The TARDIS

Wow. The Doctor's TARDIS was amazing. He showed me the guest bedroom, the closet (and a big one, mind you), a kitchen, and my personal favorite, the library. There was a swimming pool in it! Just from the control room to the nearest room was a full minute's walk! This ship was bigger than anything I could have imagined.

The Doctor told me how to get to a changing room and sent me on my way. "There's a wardrobe through there. First left, second right, third on the left, go straight ahead, under the stairs, past the bins, fifth door on your left." He had said that the sweatshirt and leggings I was wearing weren't appropriate for where we were going next. The walk in closet in the guest room was at least thirty yards long, and probably six feet wide. It was lined with rows and rows of shelves with all kinds of female clothing, and I had trouble picking something out. If my current outfit wasn't appropriate, did that mean we were going somewhere cold? Or somewhere fancy? He hadn't specified.

Eventually I ended up picking out a nice, but not too nice outfit to wear, that would be just versatile enough if I brought the right sweater and an extra pair of shoes. It was a simple white long sleeved shirt and black high-waisted jeans. I wore a pair of clean black and white converse, but put a pair of maroon heels in a nice purse I found. I also placed a folded up lacy maroon sweater in the purse in case I needed to look a bit more done-up.

The Doctor banged on my door twice, skipped a beat, and then knocked once more. I pulled my white knit beanie on just as I slipped out the door and into the metallic hallway. The Doctor had freshened up, cleaned the grub off his fingers and the soot off his smooth cheeks. His silver trench coat bore no sign of tattering or wear, but his sneakers seemed worn and well-loved. He seemed even more handsome now than when he had been a bustling stranger with an interesting mystique. My black pleather purse's shiny silver buckles click-clacked as The Doctor and I strode down the walkway in style.

"I'm taking you to Baker Street." The Doctor said as we walked briskly, his silver coattails billowing behind him.

I knew I recognized the name, but nothing came to mind. Some newspaper article, I think.
