Yuma pov

I had no choice so I agreed.
I went to nearby cafetaria with him. Waiting for him to start his deep emotional backlog so he could defend her.

" See, I am not falling for any melodramatic sad story." I warned him before his say.
His eyes were suspicious.
He began to utter some words.
" I am not telling you to forgive her or anything else. But I wanted you to write a story."
" Story? At this moment."
" Hmm. Just hear my idea for now. We will co write later on."
It was weird. Story. All of sudden.

" I didn't know you were interesting in writing books." I interogated, checking his words. So I could stay away from his trap.

" Just a random idea. It was bothering all along. I thought to let it out."

" Did you even planned any name of the book?" I mocked, fully knowing his tactics.

" Against this fairytale."
The name was quite intruding.

" I am not writing any book." I refused. I wouldn't help someone who try to took the life of my life one. I stood up, wearing my coat again.

" Atleast you could recommend with whom, I could write."
Is he really talking about a book.

I sat again, I have to tolerate him for the last time so I could have his no sight.

" What is the story about? "

" A small child, she was not even fully 5 years old. She was charming, notorious and sunshine. Her mind filled with curiosity, everything around her excites her. She shared a deep bond with her mother.
When she would, she wanted to be like her mother."

" It is any other normal child. What's special about her."

" Special was her beauty. It could captivate anyone around her. But the flower that attracts butterfly, attracts bug too. "

" What do you around?"

" Roaming around her place. She lost the way to her home and in middle. She met some man. Quite sweet and warm. He was too charming and welcoming. He saw her crying, so he lend her hand. Offered her candy But the hand was malice. "

" He kidnapped her?"

" Sadly yes. He intoxicated her. He was in dire need of money for the operation of his new child. Though he was aiming to sell her, he didn't know the indulgence of the trafficking market would led him to do. "

" Huh?"

He felt bit tensed. His arm were felt tight and heavy. Although he was smiling, it too looked fragile

" I am asking what do you mean? What happened to that child."
I turned bit tensed, in the spark of curiosity . His face bit motionless. Felt something bad happened to the child.

" In that web, he actually met a person name ikkaku, he was not in the trafficking sector directly. He was wealthy and known for renowned business."

He paused for a while.

" His glimpse settked on that small fainted child, when he was visting the brothel. He offered that man money in maintaince and told her not to sell her anywhere."

" Then it is good. Don't you think?" I asked.

" He gave him money to keep her with him till she hit puberty. So he could send her to one of the sheikh as a gift for his newly born son. He knew the sheikh family was obsessed with good genetics and beauty. He know she holds a great profit and opportunities for him."

" Then."

" That man do as he said. Kept her in isolated closed captive. That was rarely functional for a person to live. He feeds her but he was ignornant. Most of the time, he was entirely fixated in his household duties, job and his child who needed a lot attention. He wasn't even attached with her, consider something that has to be traded someday."

"He knew europe wouldn't be the best place to kept her. So he did shift his family and her in japan."

"Five year passed, and that child never saw a proper sunlight. She was told that her mother refused to take her in. And he was the only her saviour. That child had no escape and nothing in her hand. Only a hope and faith. So he believed him with a spark of innocence. But she was eager to see her mother a lot but what else a child can do. After some year, her even will to escape too vanished. And she turned emotionally attached to those brittle four walls ."

" So she never escaped?" I yawned, considering it to be little boring story.

" She did. When a child knocked her window. He couldn't saw her. Her expression, anything. He tried to persuade her to escape from this cycle. But she repulsed, she didn't wanted to go. "

" Until, she heaed the voice of whom she called uncle. He was saying that he knows no girl and no one lived her. It broke her heart. There was hearing of police siren. She closely heard the conversation of them. And she was shocked that someone reported for illegaly keeping someone. And connection of trafficking. She couldn't fully comprehend the words of the police. But she now understood one thing. She was being betrayed by someone  who she knew her only relative. She understood thay this man intention was no way near good. "

" So she heard the banging of the window again. And this that boy lost his patience, and he threw the stone on the window. And he then offered his hand. She at last obeyed."

I was bit shook hearing it and I was eager to know what happened next.

" She was thin and starving, he took her to the side of some place and offered her some food. He gave him a card of an old man who he knew will likely adopt her as her granddaughter. He told her bit direction so she could went nearby aquitances to reach him."

This story was sound utterly similar. The neighbour, the fainted girl. Everything around it sound so similar.

I asked the name of the old man.

" Hiroshi"

My eyes widened. The story wasn't plotted, it was true. I didn't remember anything quite often just some blurred scenes and conversation with that neighbour. How did he know about this.
That I saved some girl in my childhood. Even my parents were unaware about it. Only Hiroshi and I knew.

" You are sweating." He asked in a still gaze.
I wiped it. And now was fully concentrated in that story.

"Was she saved?" I asked. Not giving an inch of hint.

I was young. Worked on my impulse. The moment I notice some hand movement and routinely odd in that house. I reported.

I thought I would be in danger if I let anyone knew. I kept it inside my heart. Although, it was right thing to do, but I did it in the wrong way. But I knew no choice back then. It was buried in my heart for so long that the moment someone revealed about it. I felt it was peeling out of me.

I asked him again.

He nodded.

" She was again intoxicated. Kept in the safe place till the Hiroshi came. So he could take her. Right Yuma?"

" Why are you asking me? It is your story."

" Indeed. So I should continue. Shall I?

" He was young writer, having influential family and in one party. When he heard concern of haroshi about his loneliness and his choice to adopt a child. He offered to not take from anyone as he already one child, who was in dire need of help."

I knew. I knew, he was philanthropist. I knew he was wise old man who had no one to take care of. He knew he was soon going to be old enough to not have anyone around him. So I tried to took a shot.

If I would give him a good child, he would not only take care of her but it would bring me the opportunities for publishing my upcoming books.

" Did Hiroshi not took care of her? He was good man I thought."
My tongue almost slipped.
He smiled bit. He knew I understood.
So I thought to submit with my guards up.
I vaguely asked her name. To which he answered, " Valentina."

My eyes widened. Valentina. She couldn't be.
I didn't speak anything to ignite.

He was looking at the coffee. I knew what he was thinking. Maybe he still didn't got an idea.
" What happened next?", I asked.

" That child was scared seeing the strange place. There was no one to comfort her. No one that she actually knew. Many a times, she tried to either kill herself or escaped."

" How did you know?" I finally surrended. Knowing she was valentina for me was enough shock but then I remebered a detail a golden heart pendant. She always wears. The detail, maybe he was saying is true. The blurred memories had a golden tint.

" I imagined it. It was following me like a nightmare. I need to jot it down. You are writer. You must know."

" Continue your story. " It was waste for me to confront. We both knew the truth.

" Hiroshi had a grandson around the age of  8 or 7 back then. The parents of the child, irresponsible brats, both were fighting the custody in the broken marriage. Both having their own affairs, acting like they care. When he got voice to ask about custody, he indeed said his grandfather name."

"What was the grandson name?" I turned paitent enough to understood full picture.

" Aizen."

We both ignored the awkwardness around us. There were lot of questions lingering me, why did she became assasin? How she met viven?

" Good. So she must got a good company."

" Her senses were bit calm down. But she was still not coping with her fears, loneliness. Sometimes she rarely eats. But the least, she was assured it was safe place."

" But you know when she tried to upgrade herself, when she saw that boy on the TV. And I told her that in order to know him, you have to learn how to write and read. And she did. She did everything she could to understand him, told feel closer to him. Even secretly sent her audio, after she read his first book. She adored him since the beginning"

" What was the audio?" I interfeared. As I remebered to get any voice note from her.

"Nightmare."

Crystal. So she is that unknown famous singer. That I promoted through my book.
I really wander how accurate these coincidence work.
So she is the crystal that viven talked about me.
So she was my secret adorer all the time.

My head almost fogged with every jnformation. It was hard to hear, I really how hard it was to tolerate this in every night.

I looked away.

" She, out of sudden, carried a sense of forgiveness for that little search. So she asked me to search him. But the information she got to know about him. She was intelligent enough to understood his intention. "
"A pet to be kept for a slaughter."  He added.
"So she decided to revenge. And the journey of poison damsel of tokyo began. Her walking in the streets of death. Coated in vengeance. "

" You didn't stop her."

" Whom am I to stop her? I had seen her sleepless nights. Her fears, her shivering. I couldn't imagine what she tolerated. It is punishment for the victim show mercy on these monsters."

" There is a law in the country. She could have good life after that."

He laughed which made me shiver. Anyone beside us couldn't understand how difficult conversation we were doing.

" Who said, she wasn’the law? She was funded by the government in a secretaries agencies. To curb all the real life problem as it should be without welcoming agitation inside or outside the country. If she would go to court, the justice would punish the puppet, not a masters. And puppets are already easy to replaced."

I was speechless.

"After removing that menance. She thought she got freedom. But she had only few gems she called her closed ones. And after thousands of battles, even a spark was enough to be a threaten."

" So you are justifying her action."

" No. Never."

He sighed. Didn't know what next moment should be appropriate.
I have wrote 5 books with each of them having bad ending. But this would be hardest, hoping it would be the first one to break the cycle.

I took a coat and wore it. About to leave, I asked him.
I couldn't face him after that.
" What you wanted me to do ?" I had no courage to made a decision, so I left the decision on him.
I knew I couldn't forgive her, neither Viven.
Because she was not the only one with betrayal.

" Let her meet viven mother for once. She wouldn't do anything. I would be there. If i wouldn't gone for trip. It wouldn't happened either. She always heard me. She wouldn't harm her. She wanted to check her health."

"After that she wouldn't come  in your lippie again. I promise."

All I could do was nod.
And there I left.
