The Pussycats - Part 2

 "Hey," Sweet Pea smiled as he walked into the apartment.

"Hey," Fangs looked up from the tv show he was watching.

"Is Aminity back?"

"Yeah. She's in your room."

"She didn't text me," his brows furrowed.

"I don't know, dude. Jughead dropped her off. She seemed kinda upset."

"Thanks," he muttered, hanging up his keys and coat before going to his room. He hesitated before knocking.

"Come in," Aminity's muffled voice said. She looked up from a book she was reading, her breath catching as she saw him. "Hey."

"Hey. What'cha reading?"

"What do you think?" she forced a smile, holding up her worn copy of The Three Musketeers.

"Of course," he smiled. He looked over, swallowing before sitting on the bed. "You okay?"

She started to nod, but stopped. "I saw you outside of Pop's with Josie."

"Right," he breathed. "Aminity-"

"Can I..." He nodded. "I tried calling you about Josie being back and when I didn't get through I thought I would just tell you when you got home. You weren't supposed to be there so I didn't think it'd be a big deal, but then you showed up and... You just left. Without telling me. And all of a sudden I felt like a teenager again. I saw you and Josie and I started thinking about everything she did to you and..." She took a deep breath. "I was jealous. I was worried you would take her home and sleep with her-"

"I would never do that to you," he said adamantly, putting his hand on her thigh.

"I know," she said truthfully. "But I couldn't help the thought from gnawing at me. And then I thought about how much she hurt you. You were my best friend first and all I could think about was how she hurt my best friend. I didn't want that happening again. It's stupid," Aminity forced a chuckle.

"It's not," he shook his head, moving so he was right in front of her. "I'm sorry I made you feel that way. I promise you I feel nothing for Josie. I haven't in years. I haven't since you helped me get over her." He took her hands into his. "I love you, Aminity. More than I have ever loved or could ever love anyone. And I would never do anything that could hurt this. Us. I love you."

"I love you too."

"You don't need to be jealous," he smiled gently. "I could never want anyone but you. I will always only want you."

"I only want you," she whispered. He squeezed her hand gently, leaning forwards and kissing her. "I love you."

"I love you." He laid her down gently, starting to kiss her deeply. She kissed back, slipping her hand into his hair. "You know that she could never amount to you, right?" She looked into his eyes, searching his eyes even though she knew it was true. She nodded. "Good. Now let me prove it to you." She smiled, leaning up and capturing his lips again.

"Josie, Melody, and Valerie," Archie said as they walked into the teacher's lounge where he and Aminity were talking. "I feel like I'm in sophomore year again. What's going on, guys?"

"We're gonna help you and the gang save Riverdale?"

"Are you sure?" he asked. "I mean, I know you didn't exactly-"

"Please," Josie shushed him. "When a superstar offers to help, you don't try to talk them out of it." Melody and Valerie chuckled and Archie smiled.

"So what are you guys thinking?"

"Well, we're thinking a one night only Josie and the Pussycats reunion concert," Melody explained. She looked at Aminity. "At the Whyte Wyrm."

"With all the proceeds going to benefit a fund to reincorporate the former town of Riverdale," Valerie finished.
"I think we can do that," Aminity nodded.

"Josie and the Pussycats reunited," Archie smiled. "If that doesn't save Riverdale, nothing will."

"I'll start getting everything ready," Aminity said, saying her goodbyes and walking out of the room.

"Aminity, wait," Josie called, following her into the hall. "I need to tell you something."

"Okay," she let out, unsure of what Josie was going to say.

"I shouldn't have let Sweet Pea drive me home. I hurt him back in high school and I know that. I apologized when he took me to my hotel, but you deserve an apology too. Nothing happened and you need to know that. I'm sorry if I did anything to hurt you two further."

"Thank you. And, don't worry about us." Josie smiled and nodded and Aminity smiled back.
