The morning after last night's chaos was slow. The group slept in late, exhaustion and the lingering eeriness of the night before keeping them in bed longer than usual. When Hazel finally dragged herself out of her room, she found Lisa already sitting on the couch with Rosé, the two of them watching something on Lisa's phone.

"Ah, look who finally woke up," Lisa teased, grinning as she waved Hazel over. "We were just watching some horror fails to see if our reactions were as bad as those."

Hazel rolled her eyes. "I doubt anyone's reaction could be worse than yours, Lili." Rosé snickered while Lisa gasped dramatically. "Excuse you! That spider was deadly!"

"Deadly? It was barely the size of your fingernail."

Jimin walked in at that moment, stretching lazily. "She's not going to admit it, Hazy. Just let her have her delusions."

Lisa threw a cushion at him while the others laughed. The morning continued in easy conversation, the tension from the previous night fading into the background.

Later, Hazel sat at the dining table, absentmindedly scrolling through the Midnight Man game's rules, frowning as she read each step carefully. She felt uneasy. It was dangerous, but at the same time, curiosity tugged at her. She could already imagine how reckless the others would be once they started playing.

"You're thinking too hard," Namjoon's voice interrupted her thoughts. "I heard Jungkook and Jimin talking about their plan of playing that game tonight. I told them to be careful and not to worry as I won't tell the others." He pauses for a moment. "What's on your mind."

She looked up to see him leaning against the counter, a cup of coffee in his hand, watching her with a raised brow. "I just don't think this is a good idea," she admitted.

Namjoon hummed, walking over and glancing at her phone screen. His expression shifted slightly, eyes narrowing as he took in the details. "You know, for someone who keeps getting involved in this stuff, you sure protest a lot."

She narrowed her eyes at him, but he only smirked. "I'm serious, Joonie. What if something happens?"

He took a slow sip of his coffee before setting it down. "Hazy, I study criminal law. I've learned how to read people. And right now, I can tell you're already halfway convinced about playing, even if you won't admit it."

Hazel tensed. "That's not—"

Namjoon cut her off with a pointed look. "You're curious. But be careful. Games like these have a way of pulling people in deeper than they expect." His voice held a slight edge, his usual calm demeanor shifting into something more serious. "Don't let it get to your head."

Hazel sighed, rubbing her temple. "Easier said than done." Namjoon chuckled, reaching out to ruffle her hair before she could protest. "You'll be fine. Just make sure Lisa doesn't scream the house down again."

The day passed by in a blur. They attended their university classes, though Hazel found it difficult to focus, her mind repeatedly drifting back to the night ahead. During lunch, she noticed Jungkook sneaking glances at her notes, clearly just as intrigued by the game as the others. Taehyung, on the other hand, seemed relaxed, occasionally nudging her whenever she zoned out.

By the time they returned home, the older members were already getting ready for their dinner outing. Namjoon lingered for a moment before leaving, his gaze flickering toward Hazel as if contemplating whether to say something. In the end, he simply nodded and walked out the door with the others.

The maknaes shared knowing glances, anticipation buzzing between them. As soon as the older ones left, the atmosphere shifted. It was silent, the house feeling much larger with just the six of them in it.
