Bitterness.

Blue eyes.
Laughter.

Blue eyes...
Deep, dark blue eyes...
Two pairs of deep, dark blue eyes.
They are scarred, they are bitter, they are sorrowful.
But they are not evil...
They are just broken.
"Rain? Rain!" Smoke exclaimed in annoyance when she saw that the orange tom wasn't listening. "Did you even listen to one single word of what I said?"
Rain nodded slowly, but his mind was completely somewhere else. This territory...SwiftClan's territory...he had been here before? The way the moonlight illuminated it, the way the dried grass crackled under their paws, the way it smelled was so familiar...He knew this place, he was sure about that.
But it wasn't what scared him the most.
It was the flashes of images that came to his mind when he looked around. They were little fragments of his memory, yet they were so faint and so blurry that they were almost nonexistent. Each time he tried to cling into a fragment, it just slipped away from his grasp, far, far away.
Gasping, he just closed his eyes, his head throbbing from the overwhelming feeling of being lost. Curling his claws furiously into the ground, he just wished that the images would just disappear. I can't...I can't get ahold of them...I just can't take this anymore. But they didn't; they just began invading his tortured mind even vigorously, making him tremble.
The images of terrible, bloody memories jumbled together into one, whirling mess, threatening to swallow him and never let him out again. Please, just make them disappear! It's too much...I can't...Rain felt himself becoming weaker and dizzier with each heartbeat, trying to hold on to reality.
Suddenly, someone smacked him right on the head hard-luckily, with their claws sheathed. Rain's eyes shot open immediately as he gasped for air. His lungs were burning just as if he ran the whole way here, his head throbbed and his eyes stung. What in the dung was that?
Smoke looked at him searchingly. "Rain, are you sure you're okay?"
Rain growled, massaging his aching head with one of his paws. "Yeah, I'm fine." He grumbled despite being the furthest away from being fine. He wasn't fine; not to the least bit, but would Smoke give a mousetail about that? Certainly no, Rain thought, gritting his teeth in sheer frustration. He hated this feeling; this feeling of helplessness, vulnerability, cluelessness and loneliness. I'll deal with this later..."Anyway, you were saying?"
