Halloween

(Neville's Pov)
I love Halloween. Partly.

On one hand, you still have the feast, the fun, all the spookiness. On the other, you have Halloween pranks.

And I tend to be the target.

So this year, I'm planning on lying low. But I'm still pretty excited. And so is Luna.

I don't know, but Luna loves pudding. More than an average human being. So whenever we have a celebration with all-you-can-eat pudding, Luna is definitely there.

I was walking to the Halloween Feast, with Luna excitedly talking next to me. "I can't wait for the feast, Neville! I absolutely love Halloween! I can dress whatever I'd like without being judged." She gestured to her radish earrings. I chuckled a little.

"Um, Luna?" I rubbed the back of my neck. "I wanted to ask you something?" Luna turned, smiling. "How did you cast a patronus? I want to learn how. I'm horrid at it."

Luna's looked disappointed, but immediately, she was happy again. That was weird. I must've been imagining things. "Absolutely, Neville. I can teach you tomorrow!"

She tucked her wand behind her ear. It was cute how she did that. Strange, but cute.

Soon, we were in the Great Hall. Luna waved goodbye, and then skipped off to the Ravenclaw table. I grinned, and then sat next to Ginny and Harry at the Gryffindor table.

"Hi," Ginny greeted, eating some cake. "Hey," I greeted back, piling my plate with food. Ginny stared at me for a moment. "What?" I said, looking at her.

Ginny tapped her chin, and then smiled cheekily. "You like her, don't you?" I was taken aback. "Luna? No, she's only a friend. I swear." Ginny looked incredulous. "Sure. Whatever."

I felt my face grow hot. "Stop looking at me like that! I don't have feelings for-" Ginny snorted. "Sure you do! Tell em Harry!"

Harry looked up, his mouth full of potatoes. "Wha..? Uh, yeah, sure." I gave him what I hoped was my best intimidation look. Harry shrugged, and went back to eating.

Ginny punched my arm playfully. "Go for it." I was a little embarrassed. I turned, and watched Luna while she talked with her Ravenclaw friends.

"Ginny, don't get involved. Please." Ginny pursed her lips.

"Ginny?"

"Bah! Fine. Just saying, that's my opinion. Don't wear it out." Ginny winked.

"Ginny."

"That's me."

"Why am I friends with you?"

"Cuz I'm amazing."

"Mhm hm."

Pretty short chapter. Don't know why, but I felt it was necessary. I think Ginny ships Neville and Luna so hard. XD
