(Luna's Pov)
Transfiguration is pretty hard. It takes a lot of work, and a lot of patience. Since so many Ravenclaws are under pressure to prepare Transfiguration O.W.Ls, it's been pretty tense in the common room.

I'm, in fact, still struggling with turning a dinner plate to a mushroom.

Neville's been much worse though, sadly.

He's cracked under pressure, and it's hard for him to stay focused. I try to help him sometimes, but he gets really frustrated. I personally think he's missing one key component.

Confidence.

I'm not sure how to help him gain it, Ginny says she's already tried. And I care for Neville, so I want to help him.

I was practicing with him in an empty classroom. We borrowed an owl for the turn owl into opera glass spell. For Neville to practice.

"You can do it, Neville. You just have to say the words, and flick your wand like this." The owl was still an owl without much change. It sat lazily on its perch, watching Neville with a bit of curiosity. Neville was flustered, his dark blonde hair a mess.

He said the words, and flicked his wand. Nothing happened, and the owl only screeched angrily at the wand pointed at it.

Neville sighed in disappointment. "It's okay!" I said. "Just try a couple more times. I know you can do this spell, Neville." He pursed his lips, and raised his wand again. He said the words, and flicked his wand.

At first, nothing seemed to happen. And then, the owl's eyes slowly became bigger, and they looked glassy and odd. "You're doing it, Neville! One more time, and you can make it change fully!"

Neville smiled a bit. "O-okay." He said the words again, and flicked his wand.

The owl screeched again, and looked surprised as it slowly took the shape of opera glasses. It shrieked one last time before changing fully. I picked up the opera glasses, twirling it in my fingers.

"You did it!" I tackle hugged him. Neville chuckled a bit. "I knew you could!" I said happily, looking in his eyes before hugging him again.

"Thank you, Luna. I'll be ready for when the O.W.Ls coming up." He picked up the opera glasses. I watched them. "Do you need help with turning it back?"

Neville and I walked out the door. "I think I'll be fine. All I need is a bit of confidence."

I grinned.
