Talk With Ginny

(Luna's Pov)
I can't believe what I had just done. I kissed Neville Longbottom! I don't know why I did it, I just did. I was really happy, but really nervous at the same time. I should talk to Ginny.

I went into the library, and saw her studying. Ginny had her nose in a book, and she was muttering something.

"Ginny?" I asked, sitting next to her. I was a little giddy. "I need to tell you something." She looked up from her book. "Hm?" I grinned. "I kissed Neville."

Ginny looked dumbfounded for a moment, and then she squealed. The librarian shushed her, and Ginny said quietly, "Are you serious?"

I nodded, smiling like an idiot. "Oh my god! I'm so happy, you two are finally together! Well, sort of, but I'm still so happy that you two finally kissed!" She squealed (quietly) again.

Ginny looked at me square in the eyes. "Details. Not one thing left out."

I began: "So, I went into the greenhouse to see what Neville was doing. He showed me around, and I felt really good to be with him. And then, we were sitting there, and looking out the window of the greenhouse. I think he was about to tell me he liked me, and then I just kissed him. Was that the right thing to do?"

Ginny snorted. "It was the perfect thing to do. Neville's a total idiot, and I mean that in a loving way, and he probably would have chickened out in telling you unless you made the first move. Don't worry Luna. You did correct."

"Are you sure?"

"Absolutely."

For some reason, I felt like me and Ginny were truly friends when we talked about boys. Normally, she would only politely talk about The Quibbler, and we weren't actually bonding then. But oddly enough, we seemed to get along better when we had these 'conversations.

"Thanks, Ginny. I know you have a lot of experience with boyfriends-"

"I'll try not to take offense to that."

"So it was nice talking with you."

Ginny smiled. "Of course. It's what friends are for."
