-AUTHOR'S POV-
[AT HOSPITAL WITH ABHAYAND HIS DADI]
"Tu padhai kar, yeh kya mera dhyaan rakh raha hai?" Dadi scoffed, turning her face away as Abhay tried to feed her soup.
(You study, what are you taking care of me?)
"Dadi, meri tarah nakhre mat kare! Kese bhi pass ho jaunga exam, mujhe kya?" Abhay replied stubbornly, holding the bowl of soup.
(Grandma, don't throw tantrums like me! I will pass the exam somehow!)
Dadi turned back, this time holding his hand gently. "Nahi beta, tu man laga ke padhai kar.. main chahti hoon tu apne saare sapne poore kare, khud."

"Tu samajh raha hai na, main kya keh rahi hoon?" dadi raised her voice slightly, strict and firm which Abhay couldn't ignore.
(are you even understanding what I'm saying?)
His teasing smirk fell. He had heard these words a thousand times before. Main humesha tera dhyan nhi rakh paungi But he never liked thinking about it. Running away from responsibilities had always been easier.
"Main hamesha tera dhyan nhi rakh paungi, beta." Dadi soften her voice, noticing his expression. After all, Abhay only has his Dadi.
(I won't be able to take care of you forever)
Abhay looked at her with an almost childlike hope, as if wishing to rewrite a reality he had no control over. "Toh main rakhunga aapka dhyaan, Dadi,"
