As Riti replies that there's nothing to explain, Evan's grip on her hand tightens. He moves closer to her face and says firmly, "Tell me before things get worse. You don't want to regret it, right?"
Riti is taken aback by Evan's anger, and her eyes well up with tears. She stammers, "I-I don't have anything t-to tell you."
Evan presses on, his concern evident. "Then what's the problem with you going on with me? I know you're ignoring me. Yesterday, you were looking so scared of me, and now it's the same. What's the reason? It's not like I've become a demon overnight, so why are you behaving like this?"
Riti remained silent, her tears falling continuously. Evan's patience was wearing thin. He grabbed her jaw, making her look up at his face. "I'm asking you calmly, but you're not responding. Do you want me to yell at you so you'll tell me?"
Riti shook her head, and Evan said, "Since you're not mute, reply with that mouth of yours." Riti stammered, "N-no."
Evan glared at Riti, waiting for her to continue. Riti, intimidated by his glare, looked down and replied, "Y-you... d-do you ki— s people?" However, due to her trembling and fear, she mistakenly said "kiss" instead of "kill."
Evan, confused, said, "What do you mean? Do you think I kiss anyone? Are you out of your mind? What were you thinking?" Riti realized her mistake and hurriedly corrected herself, "N-no, that's not what I meant to say... I-I mean, u-u k-kill p-people."
Evan, perplexed, released Riti's wrist and rubbed his forehead in irritation. "What kind of nonsense are you spouting? What do you mean to say? Say it clearly."
Riti, sobbing, explained, "T-that day... I-I saw a g-gun in your cu-cupboard when I was closing it, and you said angrily, 'I don't have to do anything.'" Evan understood her concern and chuckled, finding the misunderstanding amusing.
Riti, crying, asked, "Why are you laughing? Are you a psychopath?" Evan laughed even harder, finding her accusation ridiculous.
Evan stopped laughing and asked, "Is all this because of the gun?" He hugged Riti to calm her down. When he let her go, Riti said, "But you said you would kill someone yesterday."
Evan explained, "Were you listening to my private conversation ?, I was joking with a friend who works in a special force. He needed my help to keep his gun safe as there's going to be some raid in his home."
Riti felt embarrassed and relieved. Evan teased her, "I didn't know you thought, I was that much scary person You listened to my conversation and looked through my cupboard without permission."
Riti looked down, feeling ashamed. Evan asked, "What do you have to say?" Riti apologized, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to snoop."
Evan smiled and patted her head, "It's okay. Just remember, if I don't tell you something, it's because it's not important for you to know." Riti nodded, "Got it." Evan added, "And next time, don't do anything like that, okay?"
After clearing up the misunderstanding, Riti thought Evan might take her with him now. But Evan noticed her sad expression and said, "Don't look so sad. I'm not taking you with me. You can stay here today. I'll send you some lectures, so watch them and remember."
Evan left, sending Riti the lectures as promised. She felt incredibly happy, relieved that it was just a misunderstanding. She was glad to stay with her parents and went to bed, lying down with a contented heart.
At night, Riti's uncle, aunt, and their family, who lived in a nearby house, visited her home. They were excited to meet Riti, but a bit disappointed they missed Evan because they weren't home earlier. Meeting Riti still made them happy.
Riti was thrilled to see her extended family, including her cousin, who was 7 years older than her, his wife, and their cute little grandson.
Her cousin teasingly handed over his little son, saying, "Meet your nephew too!" Riti didn't know how to hold a child, so she said, "No, no, don't give him to me, I'll drop him, no!" She declined, but her cousin and others persisted.
Her cousin placed his son on Riti's lap, and she tried to hold him. She didn't know what to do next, and the baby started to cry. Her mother said laughingly, "He's a baby, beta, not some doll. Just try to interact with him and talk to him, or else he will cry."
Riti, feeling shy, couldn't do it and handed the baby back to her mom. Her aunt, who was very open-minded, saw this and laughed, teasing Riti, "Riti, beta, what will you do when you have your own kids?" Her aunt's comment was light-hearted, and all of her family members also started laughing.
Riti got very shy and embarrassed, hearing this, and said, "What, why are you all teasing me? I'm not going to come here again!" They talked and had fun throughout the night.
Riti's sister-in-law came to talk with her, and after their conversation, they all went to sleep. Riti went to her room to sleep.
In the morning, Riti woke up, got fresh, and had her breakfast. Then, she went to sit with her mother and watch TV together. She spent the whole day watching TV with her mom and completely forgot about the lectures Evan had sent her.
