Now the day of graduation came, which isn't just a celebration of her academic journey, but also the moment where all that patience longing and emotional resistant quietly gives way to something deeper.

The auditorium echoed with cheers, the rustle of Growns, and the flutter of proud hearts. Riti's name was called last-alphabetically last, maybe, but to Evan. she'd always been first.

She found him in the crowd instantly—arms folded, smile tugging at the corner of his lips, eyes soft in a way only she ever saw. The world might have handed her a degree today, but her real reward waited in that look.

That night, after the congratulations faded and the photos were tucked away, the apartment glowed with quiet candlelight. Evan had cooked her favorite meal. He said little—but his eyes said everything.

"Do you remember what you told me?" she asked softly, setting her empty cup down.

He nodded. "Every word."

"And what if I'm still nervous?"

He stepped closer, brushing his fingers along her wrist. "Then we take it one breath at a time. Nothing happens tonight you don't want."

She looked up, heart full—not of fear, but of peace. "I want... us."

And that was enough.

What followed wasn't about passion alone—it was years of closeness unraveled slowly. An unwritten poem of gentle kisses, soft laughs, and a thousand unsaid things finally spoken in touch. Evan didn't rush; Riti didn't hide. They met each other with reverence.

They went in their bedroom, Evan's turn off all the lights, their all clothes has fall on floor, Evan slowly hugged her, their body aligned with each other, Evan carefully fall on her onto the bed, slowly making Riti comfortable by kissing all over body.......... and as long as night went on, they were remain pouring love into each other.

Golden light filtered through the sheer curtains, casting a honeyed glow across the room. Riti stirred, eyes fluttering open slowly to the sound of birds outside and the rhythmic beat of Evan's heart beneath her cheek. She realized she'd fallen asleep curled against him, their limbs tangled beneath the crumpled sheets.

She didn't move. Not yet.

There was something sacred in that silence—the way his hand rested gently over hers, the rise and fall of his chest steady as ever. But unlike every rushed morning before, neither of them had anywhere to be. No alarms. No lesson plans. No lectures.

just them.

Riti tilted her head up, watching as Evan's lashes twitched, his brows still knit with the seriousness he never quite took off—even in sleep. She smiled softly.

"You're staring," he mumbled, voice low and sleep-warm.

"I earned it," she whispered back.

Evan cracked one eye open, and then another. His gaze drifted across her face, stopping at her eyes like he always did when searching for something unspoken. "So... was it everything your third-year mind imagined?"

Riti flushed, lightly swatting his chest with the back of her hand. " yes, I am satisfied."

He caught her hand mid-swat and kissed the inside of her wrist. "I'll hold you to that."

They lay there a while longer, limbs quiet, hearts louder. And for the first time in years, it wasn't the promise of the future pulling them forward—it was the stillness of the present. The comfort of knowing that even in the silence, they were home.

The applause from graduation had barely faded when Riti sat cross-legged on their living room rug, scrolling endlessly through postings for internships and residency options. Evan sat nearby, glasses perched low on his nose, lazily flipping through a journal but glancing at her more often than the page.
