They both entered the Gryffindor common room and sat at one of the empty tables.

Calum started pulling out pieces of paper and quills out of his bag, along with his phone.

Cara pulled her hair up in a ponytail to keep it from falling on her face and keep her from concentrating.

"I apologize in advance. I'm not great at song writing," she said sheepishly.

"Don't worry. Inspiration is everywhere, from things around this room to things you enjoy doing or people you love."

Cara looked around the room trying to find inspirations from something, noticing that the golden trio were staring at them. Probably wondering what they're doing.

Cara placed her phone on the table, "I love my phone."

"Ok that's a start. Um anything you particularly like doing on your phone?"

"I like listening to music and shutting off the world for a while."

"Ok yes now we're getting somewhere. This actually gives me an idea for two songs," Calum said excitedly.

Calum grabbed a quill and started jotting down the ideas.

"Any particular band you? Besides us, of course."

"Green day," Cara said without a thought. Calum looked back down and kept on writing.

"This is what I've got for now," Calum paused before he spoke again.
"Hitting every red light, kissing at the stop signs, darling, Green Day's on the radio, and everything is alright."

"That's really good! Oh my god," Cara exclaimed. "But we need some sort of tune for it."

Cara thought for a while before she sang the lyrics in a tune she thought would be fitting.

"Hitting every red light
Kissing at the stop signs, darling
Green Day's on the radio
And everything is alright."

"Yeah! It goes well with it, now we just need the rest of the song," Calum laughed. "Since you can't write, tell me what you're thinking and I'll write it down and then we can form a proper song."

"Hmm how about," Cara thought for a while. "Take me back to the middle of nowhere, back to a place only you and I share."

"Remember all the memories? The fireflies and make-believe." Calum added on. "This is bloody great, Cara! Are you sure you've never written a song before?"

Cara shrugged. "At the beginning of the song you could add We're taking the long way home, taking the long way home and start it out with an E note and then an A note."

Calum admired Cara as she spoke. He's never seen anyone be so passionate about music as her. God he loved her, but knew Michael wouldn't let anything happen between them. He just wanted to make her feel loved and beautiful.

"Hey, sorry to interrupt your um little session but dinner is about to start," hermione spoke, breaking Calum from his thoughts.

"Oh yeah," Calum mumbled. "C'mon Cara lets go get something to eat."

Cara nodded and began picking up the paper, helping Calum clean. She placed her phone back into her pocket and waited for Calum. He took the papers from her hand and led her out the portrait.

"You've got mad talent for song writing," Calum complemented as they both entered the great hall.

"Thank you, it was actually a lot of fun," Cara grinned. She said goodbye to Calum and made her way to her table, sitting across from Luke.
