11. The Reason

hey peeps I am currently at a library so I have internets to post lucky me! enjoy sorry if it sucks.

the next day

I yawned and stretched and padded out of the Warriors den. 'I guess I won't be sleeping here much longer' I thought sadly. I walked over to the fresh kill pile and grabbed a mouse. I wasn't feeling sick this morning so I was fine. While I was eating I heard some voices from Ivystars den.

I finished my mouse and walked curiously into the den when I saw Redclaw mercilessly beating up the apprentice. I den in and scratched him on the arm. "What are you doing!?" I yowled at him and walked in front of the bloody apprentice. Ivystar padded in and saw what happened.

"What's going on here?" She asked me. "I came in here and i saw Redclaw beating him up" I hissed at Redclaw. Ivystar nodded. "Redclaw please leave" she said and he padded off. I turned to the apprentice. "Sorry about crushing you" I said while licking my paw.
"It's alright and I'm Stonepaw by the way" Stonepaw said.

"So why did you say thank you before you passed out?" Ivystar said. Stonepaw froze but soon relaxed and took a deep breath. "Over the past 10 or so moons swiftclan has fallen apart it all started with out new leader, Quickstar." He said and sat down. I knew this was going to take a while.

"He has trained kits to become apprentices when they were 4 moons old myself included nothing really bad happened until about 7 moons ago when my brother Longkit disappeared during training" he said with sorrow in his eyes.

"Quickstar told the clan that it was Forestclan that killed him. I don't think so I believe it was quick stars fault we should have been kits in the nursery. The second battle was for this reason but I'm not sure about the first. I wasn't around when that happened. Last I heard Swiftclan was going to attack again. I don't want to be in swiftclan anymore can I please join Forestclan?" He meowed.

Ivystar sat for a moment thinking then she nodded. "Yes you may we need another apprentice we only have one Graypaw. I'm guessing he would want a new friend. As long as you don't leave the camp without another cat I don't mind!" She said and Stonepaw jumped happily. "Come on I'll show you to your new den so you can meet him!" I said leading him out of the den.

When we got outside some cats stared and I whispered into Stonepaws ear. "Don't worry they won't bite unless you cause something bad." He shuddered. Then we arrived at the den and I saw Graypaw sleeping in there. "Hey Graypaw! Wake up I have a new buddy for you!" I said. His ears twitched a bit and then he rolled over looking at the cat I front of him.

"Well that's Graypaw go on introduce yourselves" I smiled. I sat back by the entrance waiting for Stonepaw to emerge when I heard their conversation. "Hi I'm Graypaw" I heard Graypaw say. Then I heard a gasp followed by a loud "Longkit! It's you" confused I padded in and saw that Stonepaw tackled Graypaw and was now licking his ear.

"What's going on?" I said as I pulled Stonepaw off of Graypaw. Stonepaw looked at me and said. "That's Longkit my brother why is he here?" "Oh I found him as a kit a while ago and he didn't remember anything. Also we didn't want to risk going to your clan and I had to raise him as an apprentice because someone thought I was his mom" I said knocking Graypaw over for the second time.

Graypaw got up and stood next to Stonepaw. I gasped they did look almost the same. Their fur was the same colour and they were the same size. The difference being Stonepaw had green eyes and Graypaw had blue eyes and a long tail.

"Hey Graypaw I think you might be his brother after all" I meowed. Graypaw looked at me. "You look almost exactly the same, same fur colour and your the same size, but you guys have different eyes and Graypaw has a longer tail" Graypaw was now examining Stonepaw and he gasps. "Wow I have a brother!" He meowed. "And a sister!" Stonepaw said smiling but then he got sad thinking about his sister. I walked up to Stonepaw and soothed him. "It's ok she is probably fine" I meowed and he purred. Then I left leaving the two brothers catch up.

Padding outside I was greeted by Ivystar. "You need to go on a patrol don't worry you still can be a warrior for another moon then it's off to the nursery" she said and then she padded off. I walked toward the entrance and saw Stormtail, whitetail and Birdfeather waiting for me. They saw me and padded out of the camp. We walked through the the forest keeping our ears pricked at any danger.

When we got to the border we looked around for any swiftclan scent on out borders when we found none we headed back to camp. Everyone split up except for me and Stormtail who found a spot in the sun and relaxed. I laid spread out on my side showing my slightly swollen belly while Stormtail just laid down on his paws grooming himself.

"Apparently Graypaw's actual name was Longkit and that his brother was Stonepaw" I meowed. Stormtail looked at me. "That's weird. I hope that our kits won't be split up" he meowed purring. "Yeah I wonder what they will look like. And maybe how many I will have" I meowed dreamily. "It doesn't matter because I will love every single one"
He said. We spent the rest of the day like this just relaxing in the sun and sharing tongues.

I know I know it kinda sucks but when I get back from my trip I will have all of the chapters ready so I can post to you on time and maybe a surprise chapter for another story.
