"Mate.."I hear from the most delicious baritone voice even your deepest fantasies can't handle. I slowly lift my head to lock eyes with the most beautiful pair of chocolate brown eyes to ever gaze upon my face.

"Come to me mate." He orders me gently as if trying not to scare me, but he doesn't know he is far from scaring me, if anything I'm about ready to jump his bones right here right now.
When I reach him he pulls me in for a tight hug and breaths in my scent deeply before kissing my neck whispering, "Happy Birthday." I let out a nervous giggle as my legs turn into jelly in his arms.

"Best birthday ever!" I whisper back earning me a heart stopping chuckle, but our little moment is ruined when yet another growl rips through the crowd.

I'm leaning on the back wall, while watching the show play out in front of me when I catch a whiff of cotton candy and fresh rain a weird combination but yet so enduring. I close my eyes as I feel my wolf trying to take over.

'What's that enchanting smell,' I ask my wolf, he howls for a second then pants 'mate' .

That's all I needed as my eyes scans the crowd and land on my other half. She has been looking for me as well I can see by the alertness and love that shines through her big beautiful dark brown eyes. It takes me a second to realize that I'm not the only one with eyes on her; right then I see a pup strut over to my mate and wrap his scrawny twig of an arm around her curves...MY CURVES.

That's when everything went red.

I am just standing there in awe of what I just witnessed ' my best friend has found her mate and he is the FREAKING ALPHA KING.'

Holy crap you know what this means...I'm basically an a-lister now I'm gonna get into all the best were clubs, and get free drinks; I even might be able to get in the VIP section. OMG I'm so happy for us!

'Wait...wow what's that smell' I ask my wolf as I close my eyes and inhale the scent of something almost spicy and sweet. 'Wow I just want to eat whatever that smell is for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.' A light moan escaped from my lips as my nose works in overdrive trying to find the source of that smell.

When I do finally find what I'm looking for I nearly drool when I see the clearest blue eyes I've ever seen in my long 17 years of life.

'MATE MATE MATE MAATTEE.' my wolf yelps with glee.

'Calm down girl I know, oh my goodness he is just the finest, isn't he.'

'Ooo yes just wait until you see his wolf, girl, omg it will have you on your knees'

'I bet, I'm half way there now', as my legs wobble a bit, but I'm yanked out of my conversation when my ex-boyfriend decides to wrap his arm around my waist.Eww, was all I could think as struggled to pull out of his slimy grasp, but am stopped by a ferocious growl.

'Uh-ohh' my wolf said before she faded back into me.

Uh-ohh indeed I thought as felt myself ripped from my ex's arms and pulled against a chest so solid I bet when he does push-ups the ground gets scared.

My moment in paradise is short lived when I hear the crack of a nose breaking, I look down to see my ex holding his bloodied curling up into a tiny ball. What a wuss, I thought as I look up into a face so gorgeous Ryan Gosling looks like a peasant and don't get me started on that jawline, oh lord his jawline must be stronger than my wi-fi.

I must have said the last part aloud because several people started to laugh but were silenced by a sharp look from my mate. 'That's my baby, sticking up for me and stuff,'

After he satres down the last couple of idiots who thought they could hide a little snicker...really in a room full of were's... REALLY!!! He looks down on me with so much love that I can't help but melt a little.

"What is your name, love?" He says in a BRITISH ACCENT!! Can this man get anymore perfect I think as I get lost in his eyes.

I feel the rumble in his chest as he clears his throat trying to get my attention, and it got my full attention that little rumble set off gigantic fire works through out my whole body.

"Um..my name is Taylor, but you can call me tay." I rush on and say trying to keep my cool.

"Haha, nice to meet you mate, my name is Joseph." He said with and amused look on his face.

"So are you a alpha?" Holy crap did my word vomit of a mouth really just say that.

To my delightful surprise he chuckles and it sounds so sweet strawberries got nothing on him."Yes and No Taylor." Oh lord my name sounds of honey coming from his mouth.

"What do you mean yes and no." I ask more than slightly curious.

Instead of answering he say's "That is a story for another time but I will tell you this I am a born Alpha and a Alpha in my own right, but I chose to be a beta the King." He finishes I must I look like a fish out of water from all that information. Wait..if he is 'beta' to a king that means he is like the strongest alpha alive.
