Should've listened part 1

Ugh... Monday.

You know what that means! School.

I was woken up by my annoying alarm at an un Godly hour. The sun was just coming up. I decide to hit the snooze for a few more minutes and fall back asleep.

"Kylie! Wake your ass up! I thought you were already up and ready! We have to leave for school right now!" Aubrey shouts at me.

"Fine. I'll just go in my pajamas." I groan.

"No Kylie, those aren't school appropriate." She gestures down to my bare legs and I realize I'm only wearing my black boy short panties and a tank top.

"Oh. Well shit." I say and jump up out of bed. I start rummaging through my drawers to find something to wear quickly.

Just as I pull out my high wasted black shorts from my drawer, I look up to see Luke walking into my room.

"Shit sorry. I just came in to tell you to go on ahead with Ashton. I'll take her in with me. We'll miss the first half of first hour but it's better than her showing up like that." He says to Aubrey. I'm literally bent over with one leg in my shorts staring at him and giving him a face.

"Excuse me?" I say offended.

"Just being honest." He shrugs. I roll my eyes at him and continue to shimmy the shorts up my body. Luke looks away as I do so.

"Okay. I'll see you later babe." Aubrey says to me and walks out of my room. Leaving just Luke with me in my room. His back is facing me.

"You can leave Luke. I can get dressed by myself." I say.

"Sorry. I just wanted to talk to you. But we can talk in the car. You've got half an hour." He tells me without looking at me and walking out and shutting the door.

I quickly pull a loose fit t-shirt over my body and tuck the ends into my shorts. I spray some dry shampoo into my hair, and do my make with my usual winged eye liner and mascara. I put my deodorant on and spray my favorite perfume on. I pick out my ankle sandals and put them on before making my way down to the kitchen.

"Ready?" Luke asks me.

"Yep." I say and walk past him and out the door. He follows behind me and locks the door.

We both get into his car and he starts to drive off down the road.

"So what is it?" I ask to break the short silence.

"I'm sure you have already guessed that I wanted to talk to you about Brad." He glances over at me after he says it.

"I assumed yes." I say to him.

"You know how I feel about him. How we all feel about him." He pauses. "You know I just don't want you to get hurt. And I know that if guys knew, they would feel the same. Hell, you know your brother will do everything in his power to protect you."

"Luke... I can take care of myself. You don't have to worry about me getting hurt." I say to him.

"He's not good. For anyone. He may be sweet to you. But that won't last long. I just need to warn you."

"But you guys won't even tell me what's going on between you guys. I don't know what I'm in for because you won't tell me. No one will tell me. All I know is that I really like him."

We pull up into the school parking lot and I get out as soon as he stops the car.

"Kylie! Wait!" Luke shouts from behind me. I stop but don't turn around. He stands in front of me with a look of concern.

"Don't be mad at me. Please..." He starts to say but I roll my eyes and continue walking past him. "I'll tell you!" He shouts from behind me. That makes me stop and turn around to face him. "I'll tell you everything."

"Great. I'll see you later." I say and wink at him and blow him a kiss. Not in a flirty way, but in a spiteful way.

Luke walks to another part of the building to where the senior classes are and I go my way. I don't want to be angry with him. And I'm not really, I'm more upset. I understand he doesn't want me to get hurt because I'm his best friends sister and all, but it really shouldn't be any of his concern with who I date.

When I reach the door to my first class, everyone stares at me as I find a seat in the back. The teacher continues to speak to the class and my eyes focus on the clock. Even though I'm only here for the last half of class, it still goes by agonizingly slow.

The bell finally rings and I rush out the door. I make my way down the hallway when I see Brad and his friends walking down the hallway. Brad spots me and a grin spreads across his face.

They reach me and I feel slightly intimidated by them all. "Kylie. I don't think I've ever introduced you to my boys. This is James," he gestures to one of the blonde boys and he gives me a polite smile. James looks fairly nice. Now that I look at them all, they all look pretty harmless. It's just the hard punk look that they are going for that you have to get past. "Tristan," the other blonde that is slightly taller than James. "and Connor" the one with darker thicker hair.

"Hi guys." I smile at them. They all nod and smile at me.

"Why don't you guys go on without me." Brad says to them. They walk down the hallway away from us and Brads eyes lock with mine. "What are you doing tonight?" He asks me in a low seductive voice. His eyes wonder down to my lips as he bites his own. I feel butterflies swarm in my belly.

"It's a Monday night. I can't be out late on school nights." I say to him.

He laughs and says, "And why not? Cause big brother won't let you?"

"No. Because I have school in the morning." I say annoyed by his assumptions. I know Ashton wouldn't like it, but that's not why I don't like staying out on school nights.

The bell rings, letting us know that we have 2 minutes to get to class. "Maybe we can hang out for a few hours after school." I tell him.

"Fine" he rolls his eyes. "Meet me in front of the school 10 minutes after the final bell rings." He gives me a quick kiss before walking away from me.

The rest of the school day goes by and soon I'm in my last class. I send a quick text to Ashton telling him that I'll be staying at the schools library to study for a few hours.

The final bell rings and I make my way to the library to wait there for a few minutes before I make my way to the front of the school to meet Brad.

The minutes pass by and I go down the now empty hallway. When I reach the front doors I push them open and hope that Ashton and all of them have left already. The parking lot is pretty much empty and I don't see Ashton's car or Luke's.

I look to the left to see Brad leaning up against the wall a few feet away with a cigarette in between his lips. He took one last puff and threw it to the ground and stepped on it. He made his way over to me with a grin on his face yet again.

"Hello sexy." He greets me and pulls me into his arms.

"You smoke?" I ask him when he pulls away from me.

"Yeah some times. Why?
