The date

The boys had left about an hour ago and it was now 1 o'clock and I have to meet Brad in an hour and a half. I'm just now getting out of the shower and am now blow drying my hair. I haven't told Aubrey yet about my date. I don't know how she might react to it when I tell her.

Once I'm all dry I pad over to my room and sort through my closet to try and find something to wear. Should I wear a dress or would that be to fancy? Jeans seem too casual and it's too hot for them anyways. A skirt would be like the same thing as a dress right? Now I'm thinking about this too much. I'll just wear the skirt.

I pull out my high wasted white skirt and and take a black sleeveless crop top. I also pull on my thigh length black stockings just in case the movie theater turns out to be too cold. I settle for my plain black combat boots and start on my make up. I do a simple winged eye liner and mascara, and a subtle coat of concealer on my face.

"And where do you think you're going missy?" Aubrey says walking into my room.

"I have a date with Brad at 2:30. If the boys come back will you tell them that I just went to the library again?" I ask her. I know it's a lot to ask with what happened last time. But I have to ask anyways. She's my best friend and of course she would have my back. Just like I'll always have hers.

"I don't know Kylie..." She starts to say no when I cut her off.

"Please Aubrey? I really like him! We still have our deal about you getting to try and be with one of my brothers friends. I can take it back." I threaten.

"Yeah I know that Kylie. I just don't want you to get hurt." She says looking down at her feet. Maybe I was a little too harsh. She only wants the best for me and she's just trying to look out for me.

"Okay well I need you right now. Will you do that for me? It'll only be for a few hours." I say less harshly.

"Yeah of course I will." She says looking back up at me and smiles. I smile back and jump up to hug her.

I glance at the clock behind her and it's already 2:00 o'clock. "Shit! I gotta get going!"

"Okay then go!" She urges me and pushes me out of the bedroom door. I run down the stairs with her hot on my heels.

"Got your phone?" She asks me like she's my parent.

"Yes of course." I chuckle holding my phone out in my hand.

"Great! Now have fun and text me if you need anything!" She tells me.

"Okay thanks Aubrey. I love you." I say and kiss her cheek, she kisses my cheek back and says she loves me back before I walk out of the door.

I'm instantly hit with the blazing sun and mentally thank myself for remembering to put my deodorant on along with my favorite perfume.

I make my way down the road and instinctively take in my surroundings, just to be sure my brother or any of his friends are around.

After about 10 minutes of walking, the library comes into view. I make my way over there at a faster pace and finally reach the double doors of the library. Once I step inside a cool breeze hits me. It feels good on my skin from the heat outside.

I check the time on my phone and it's 2:27, he should be here soon if he isn't already. I sit myself at a table closest to the door and scroll through twitter on my phone to pass the time while I wait.
