"Get in. Now." He demands me like I'm his child. I roll my eyes at him and open the door and slide in.
I keep my eyes glued out the front window. I hope he doesn't try to scold me like he's my brother. This isn't any of his business.
About 5 minutes goes by in silence. Luke breaks that silence first, "Are you going to tell me what happened?"
I cross my arms and decide to ignore him. I can't tell him what happened. That would make him right. And God knows what he would do if he found out what happened.
"Kylie... Come on. I'm your friend. You can talk to me. About anything. Even weird girl things like periods and stuff..." He says the last sentence awkwardly and it makes me giggle. "I'm glad I can still make you laugh."
"Can you just let it go? Nothing happened." I try to lie. I think it sounded pretty convincing. I look over at him and I can't tell if he bought it.
"You can't lie to me Kylie. Your eyes are puffy and you've got black make up smeared down your cheeks." He points out. I quickly pull down the mirror and look at myself. Sure enough, there's make up all down my cheeks. I look like a mess. I try to rub most of it off.
"I can't make you tell me, but if you don't tell me I'll just have to find out for myself." He threatens.
"Luke... Please. Nothing happened. I swear. I might have broken up with him. For my own reasons. So just let it go, please?" I ask him.
"Okay. I'm sorry." He seems to believe me this time.
We pull up in front of my house finally and I get out as soon as he puts it in park. I hear his car door slam behind me. Ugh! He's coming in...
I leave the door open for him and run up to my room. "Aubrey!" I shout and she comes straight into my room with a guilty look on her face.
"What the hell?!" I shout at her.
"I know... I'm sorry. But he was sitting there with me when you called. He told me to put it on speaker so we could all talk. I didn't know it was going to be something so serious. He seemed really worried, he left as soon as I got your text with the address. I couldn't stop him even if I tried. That boy was determined and it was kinda hot." She says through gritted teeth.
I roll my eyes at her. "Oh come on. I know you think he's hot too. Who doesn't?" She says.
"Whatever." I say.
"Well on a more serious note... What happened?" She asks me.
"Uh, Brad um... He tried to have sex with me?" I say more of as a question because I wasn't sure. Nothing like that has ever happened to me before.
"You don't know? Kylie... Did he force himself on you?" She asks me seriously.
"He was just very aggressive. He kept grabbing onto me and squeezing me to stay still. I told him to stop a few times and I ended up hitting him and screaming at him to get off of me." I shiver at the memory.
"Oh Kylie!" She wraps her arms around me. "I'm so sorry that happened to you. I knew he was no good! You better stay away from him!" She holds me at arms length and looks into my eyes.
"Yeah, okay." I nod.
"I love you baby cakes." She says in a baby voice, trying to make me smile.
I give her a small smile, "I love you too sugar plum."
She kisses me on the cheek and gets up and walks out the door. I fall back onto my bed and decide to let out the tears I've been holding in since Luke picked me up.
