Ch.11 Mr. Gold

After the Wonder diner, Olivia and Elena walked down the streets.

"So what other stuff are here?" Elena asked.

"Well there's the hair salon across the street" Olivia pointed to the hair salon across the street.

"What's this place?" Elena pointed to a little shop with a sign that read 'Gold's antique shop'.

"It's just a little shop where they sell old items".

"I wanna check this out" Elena said as she opened the door which made a bell above the door ring indicating that there was a customer.

Elena looked at all of the antique items.

"This is pretty cool" she said.

Just then, a man in his 50s came out from a door in the back.

"Hello ladies" he said.

"Hi Mr. Gold" Olivia said.

"Ms. Morgan" he smiled "Good to see you".

He then looked at Elena.

"Oh, this is Elena" Olivia said "She's new here".

"A newbie huh? We haven't had one in while. So you ladies interested anything?"

"Oh no we're just looking around" Olivia said.

As the girls looked around, Elena spotted what appeared to be a red apple in a jar, the apple was bitten into and was still fresh.

"Well this is, odd" Elena said "Wonder why this is here".

"I don't know" Olivia said "Mr. Gold, why do you have this apple in a jar?"

"Well" Mr. Gold said "That apple is one of the most valuable items here".

"How can a fruit be valuable?" Elena asked "Was it like bitten by a queen or something?"

"You can say that".

"And how is it still fresh?" Olivia asked.

"I don't know, magic?" Mr. Gold guess sarcastically.

Olivia gave a smirk.

"Wow" Raven picked up a silver headband with spikes on top "Now this is cool".

She then looked at the price.

"20 bucks?" she gasped "For a headband?"

"Wow" Olivia said "Most headbands are like 5$ or something".

"You're gonna get that?" Mr. Gold asked Elena.

"Oh, um, never mind" she said as she placed the headband down.

Olivia looked at some marionette puppets, a spinning wheel, and a knight armor with a sword and shield.

"Um, I think I've seen enough" Elena said.

"Ok" Olivia said as they headed to the door.

"Thanks for coming ladies" Mr. Gold said as they left the shop.

"There was a lot of cool stuff in there" Elena said as she and Olivia walked down the streets.

"Yeah" Olivia agreed "But I should warn you, sometimes you can't trust Mr. Gold".

"What? How come?"

"Well, he's known for lying ever once in a while, and sometimes he wont let you have the item you want unless you bargain for it, like this once time, I wanted to buy Macy this really cute rose ring for her birthday, but Mr. Gold wouldn't let me have it unless I traded him my earrings".
