Heart's Lament

Hanging by a lifeline,

Thread.

Shadows dancing in the night,

Dead.

Carry with you some sunshine,

Light.

Do anything to survive.

Give up everything

Just to die.

Speak your truth

To the twilight.

Lonely bird, sing a lament

Goodbye.

Your heart is the only piece

That cannot lie.

There is not anything more I'd rather do,

Then make it out alive,

And return to you.

Alas, I am stuck beyond

The Veil.

Sorrow loves you,

I hear your wails.

I cannot join you,

My heart.

But someday we shall reunite,

Only heaven keeps us apart.
