Aastha's Jealousy Plan
The next morning, Aastha woke up with renewed determination. Last night’s plan had been a complete disaster. Ishaan didn’t even blink at the mention of a handsome football player. He didn’t tease her, get annoyed, or even act remotely interested. If anything, it seemed like he was completely unfazed.
She needed a new strategy.
Which was exactly why she was standing in the kitchen with Shikha, whispering furiously while Ishaan showered.
“Your brother is unbelievable,” Aastha huffed, aggressively stirring her coffee.
Shikha smirked. “Let me guess. He didn’t get jealous?”
“Not even a little!” Aastha threw her hands up. “I hyped up this football player so much, and do you know what he did?”
“Freaked out and confessed his feelings?” Shikha teased.
Aastha glared. “No. He yawned.”
Shikha gasped before bursting into laughter. “No way!”
“Yes way! And then he said, Good for you. Like… what does that even mean?!”
Shikha wiped a fake tear from her eye. “Oh wow, he really is clueless.”
Aastha groaned. “So? Got any better ideas?”
Shikha leaned in. “Alright. If jealousy with a random guy didn’t work, we have to try other ways.”
“I’m listening.”
“Step one: Act distant. Give him space but in a way that makes him miss your attention.”
Aastha nodded. “Got it. Next?”
“Step two: Make him jealous in a different way. Use someone he knows.”
Aastha frowned. “Like who?”
Shikha grinned. “Preet.”
Aastha’s eyes widened. “Preet? His best friend?” But I've never talked to him.. like I must have talked to him but don't remember.
“so i will tell you. Ishaan’s known Preet since childhood. He trusts him, but he’s also protective of his inner circle. If you start acting closer to Preet, Ishaan will notice.”
Aastha bit her lip. “Hmm… interesting.”
“And finally, step three,” Shikha continued, “physical contact. Do small, natural things fix his collar, touch his arm when you talk but then pull away like you didn’t mean to do it.”
Aastha blinked. “That’s evil.”
Shikha smirked. “That’s effective.”
Aastha exhaled. “Okay. Let’s do this.”

Phase One: Acting Distant
Aastha put the first step into action immediately. Normally, she’d chat with Ishaan during breakfast, tease him about his serious face, or ask him about his hospital shifts.
But today?
Nothing.
She barely acknowledged him, giving short replies and focusing on her phone. When he asked if she wanted coffee, she shrugged.
Ishaan raised an eyebrow. “You’re quiet today.”
“Just thinking,” she said dismissively.
He frowned. “You’re never this quiet.”
