Ashtons secret

CARTERS POV:
It's been about a week since that kiss. Me and Luke haven't really talked about it. I don't really think it meant anything to him.

Right now the guys and I are all at Ashton's place. Luke, Calum, and Michael are playing Fifa downstairs while me and Ashton are in his room not really doing anything because Ash hates playing FIFA.

"Hey Ash?"

"Yah?" He asked while he was cleaning his room.

"Why do you where so many bracelets?"

"I-I" he was stuttering so I took his hand in mine.

"Ashton just tell me, I know why, you know you can trust your friends right?"

"I know Carter, I'm so sorry I'm so ashamed of myself for doing it" he said while he looked down at our hands in embracement.

"Ash, it's okay don't apologize"

"Why? I'm such a suck up and a mistake! I don't deserve to even be hear!" He said with tears in his eyes, I swear I was about to cry but I wanted to stay strong for him.

"Ash, don't ever say that, you are such an amazing person you just haven't seen in it in yourself  yet."

"Thanks Cartey but you don't understand" he said

"What do you mean?"

"You haven't been threw what I've been threw I can't explain why because you won't understand, this is my biggest secret that I never tell anyone you know?"

"Ashton," I said as I stared at him in the eyes While he nodded. "I have something to show you too" I said as I played with my bracelets.

I started to take them off one by one until I was on my last. I flipped my wrist over so he could see " I have a secret too" I said as he stared at my cuts.

"Carter" he didn't say anything he just gave me a tight hug.

"I know Ash" I said "I know how you feel, just tell me why you do it, I really want to help you".

"Fine, it's because when I was younger my dad left, he never came back I was about 11. I was so depressed and I just I couldn't take it. Now I'm 16 and I'm the oldest sibling. My family relies on me and I just feel like if I mess up, everything will go wrong. It's like I'm turning into a man at 16 and I can't, I can't take care off them because I know I will mess up and I'm doing my best Carter I really am, I'm trying so hard for them" he said in tears.

"Ashton, your not gonna mess up and I know how hard it is, but you know what, if you can't stay strong for them do it for yourself. Make yourself proud. It's your life Ash, live it the way you want. Your mum and your little siblings love you, and they won't ever give up on you just like how you won't give up on them because your family, and family didn't give up on each other"
I said, and I really meant it.

"Thank you Cart's, your a very amazing friend you know that?" He said in a smile

"I know that!" I said in a laugh while we hugged.

We made our way downstairs and the boys were sitting on the couches with weird looks on their faces.
"Ummm guys?"

"Yah" they responded while me and Ashton just gave each other a suspicious look.

"Why do you guys look like your hiding something" I said while i was standing in the same spot.

"Nothing" Michael trailed off

"Spill it guys" Ashton said

"Okay Fine, we herd what you guys were talking about" Calum said in a rush.
