Slamming her hotel suite door, Stevie threw her purse against a wall and the contents went flying across the floor. She sat on the bed and grabbed a pillow, screaming in to it as all the hurt and pain inside her heart came pouring out in one long cry.
As she slowly collected herself, she sniffed, focused on her breathing and saw the photo of Isabelle laying on the floor that had fallen out of her purse from her tantrum. Stevie stood up as her legs wobbled, bending over to pick up the photo and ran her fingers over it. The photo was placed against her chest as she closed her eyes, letting some more tears go as she needed her daughter right now, to be given that feeling of love that she was losing.
Telling Lindsey about Isabelle was supposed to be a happy thing, a beautiful moment where they could reconnect, but it seemed far from that. Stevie knew that he would be angry with her for hiding their child for all those years and she almost was regretting the choice of giving her up for adoption, but it happened and now she had to deal with it.

"I'm sorry, baby girl," Stevie said in to the photo, "Your mommy messed things up and I couldn't be more than ashamed."

Feeling a migrane coming on, Stevie had to turn off all the lights as she lit a few candles to soothe her mind, laying back on the bed as she placed an arm over her eyes. Maybe if she just got some rest, all of this would just be a nightmare and she could start over again, but the knock on the door was more than real and she let a long sigh slip through her lips. Should she ignore it or check to see who it was? No, she KNEW who it was.

"Just ignore him, Stevie, ignore him," she whispered to herself.

The knocking continued but after a few more tries, whoever was on the other side of the door gave up, only calling her hotel number and the timing of the knocks and call couldn't be a coincident. She pulled the phone out of the wall and laid back down on the bed, smiling at the peaceful sound of nothing, then a vibration could be heard and she sat up in bed; her cell phone!

"Oh, Jesus," she muttered to herself as she rolled over to the other side of the bed as she saw the light from the phone glowing from the floor, seeing LINDSEY spread across the screen, "Oh, he just doesn't like to give up."

Hearing the small vibration that clued her in on a voicemail, she was very curious to know what was to be said by him, but for some reason she just wanted him to suffer. To not get a hold of her as fast as he would like, as he made her feel so horrible for even mentioning their daughter.

All Stevie could hope for right now was some rest, some good energy to come her way, so she stared at the candles flickering across the ceiling until her eyes fell heavy with sleep.

One hour later

Waking up from a small slumber, Stevie groaned as she tried to reach for her glasses on the nightstand, hearing them fall to the floor as she grumbled in disappointment. Now she had to turn on the light in order to find them and it caused her to hiss as the light hit her sensitive eyes, finding her glasses right below her feet that she was just about to step on.

Heading for the bathroom for a shower, she undressed and then winced at the pain in her abdomen, the muscles she hasn't used in some time were aching. She couldn't believe that she actually slept with Mick, let him do that to her just because she was hot over Lindsey. How old was she now?

Stepping in to the shower, she let the warm water hit her skin and stayed in there until her hands literally pruned; almost too lazy to dry herself off.

The clock read 3:15am and she sat on the bed towel drying her hair, remembering the voicemail on her cell phone. She had to listen to it and so she retrieved it from the floor and gave it the time of day.

"Stevie, I know that you're angry with me and don't say that you aren't because the way you stormed out of Mick's party then refused to answer your door...that only shows me that you're in some type of irrational mode right now. You really shook me up, Steves...Not only did it piss me off to know that you went out of your way to sleep with Mick again but you informd me of our thirty year old daughter that I never knew existed until tonight. All these years you knew that we had a child and you hid her. Don't you know how hard this is for me to let sink in? All the love that I had for you when we were young - how I wanted you SO damn much for myself, to become parents together. You drove me insane and now you're doing it again...but I won't lie, I won't lie how glad I am that you finally did tell me about Isabelle, and maybe it's a good idea that you didn't answer your door because what I'm feeling right now would end up in bed. There's a lot of things going on in my head right now and some of them are not proper. Can we at least get together before our flight leaves for home? I would like to apologize in person. I...I love you."
