"Well this is it Greenhill High." I say trying to keep things light after the fight.
"It's nice." Flame says and walks in.
The bell interrupts us.
"Well?" She looks at me "Lets get going."
"Yeah." I say and we walk to class.
We arrive at our room and I sit awkwardly next to Flame, she doesn't talk and shows no expressions. Just when I was going to start a conversation Max walks in and sits behind us.
"Hi Flame how are you." Max asks kindly. She doesn't reply which was strange and just looks out the window.
"Well, she just fought a cyclops and it turns out she has a cool ring." I reply for her annoyed because she was getting the attention.
"Well "she" is right here and yes I do have a ring that my mother gave to me. It can turn into a weapon on thought." Flame replies.
"Wait why didn't you ever tell us about it?" Max asks.
"Because I didn't know." She snaps then looks at Max's hurt expression and softens up. "I had a quick flashback and I saw my mother who was apparently the "Queen of Fire". I also heard my sister Crystal but I forgot what she looked like."
Her fiery eyes looks lost and a wave of pity washes over me, I open my mouth to speak but the teacher walks in interrupting me.
"We have a new student joining us today her name is Flame Berry?" She says clearly bored "I am Ms Ranchy and I am a teacher and I will be taking roll call." She sighs and chews her gum loudly.
The class is silent.
"Well stand up Flame, is that even your real name?" She asks.
"It is actually my real name." Flame replies standing up.
"Her hair." I hear people whisper around the room.
Kimberly stands up and introduces herself. "I am Kimberly and I am one of the popular kids, you should hang with me at lunch." She says with a fake smile on her caked face.
"Oh and love your hair, it is so much better then Bridget's." She finishes off and I glare at her making her smile fade.
"That's interesting." Ms Ranchy says and starts calling out names.
I look back at Flame who was now smiling and I feel more anger towards her and leave her behind as soon as the bell rings.
