"Are you ready for school." Alex yells into my bedroom. I open my eyes to see Alex in my doorway.

"I like your room, I bet it was easy making it look nice when you have powers, you turned this attic into a really nice room." He says looking around.

I sit up and stare at him in confusion.

"Max said school would be good for you." He says before shutting my door and running down the stairs.

I had forgotten about everything we talked about last night about fitting in. I open my wardrobe only to realise that I only have the dress I came here in and have to borrow Bridget's clothes.

After freshening up I go to the kitchen and see Bridget and Max sitting there talking.

"Morning." I say and grab my plate of food and sit next to Max.

"Take this." Bridget says and throws me shorts, a midriff shirt, a pair of boots and a backpack. "You can't start school with nothing so I went and got you these."

"Wow, thanks. I didn't know you could be nice." I say taking the things

"And I didn't know you had a sense humour." Alex laughs from the sofa.

Bridget glares at me but smiles anyways. I walk to the bathroom and change. I look at myself in the mirror and feel normal but then I look at my hair and eyes.

"Flame are you done?" Max knocks on the door.

I open the door for him and then look back in the mirror.

"Flame I have met and seen a lot of things in my life, so I am not confused about you. Unlike Bridget I trust you so please trust me." Max says looking at me.

"How do you know about these strange things?" I ask curious.

"No one has ever asked me that, but." He starts, "Just like you I am not normal. In my blood there is something that gives me super human and advanced qualities, hunter blood to be exact."

"Hunter?" I ask turning to look at him.

"Hunters protect worlds from mythical threats, there are hunters in every world and dimension. I could go on but it is really complicated, in short we protect people and I protect Earth." He says, "But I can't find or remember where my family is so I recruit others like me to do good."

"Earth? Earth! I remember something." I say excitedly, "This wasn't an accident I was sent here but there was a accident I just don't remember what."

"That's good, an improvement." Max says looking into my eyes. "But don't show people here your powers they won't understand and they fear things they don't understand."

"Flame lets go, the bus," I hear Bridget call out.

"I won't don't worry." I reassure Max, "Aren't you coming?" I ask

"It will look suspicious." He replies, "I will catch another bus."

I grab my bag and follow Bridget out.
