Sebestian was doing everything to keep his mind off from a specific girl.
He had tried everything to shut off his mind like doing yoga or attending meetings and completing office work but every time he stopped doing whatever he was doing. His mind was onto something like what would she be doing right now? Was she asleep?
Sebestian sighed as he closed his eyes and leaned on his desk chair. Shaira was brave and he never doubted that but standing in front of so many people and telling everyone she is not wrong was on another level. He would not say he loved her. He didn't love her. He would not love a woman who left him without any reason. The inly tging he had for now is pity. At least that's what he believed when he went in the court that day.
The day he made that treacherous eye contact with her and how her face bloomed into one of the rarest smile upon seeing him. There is no way in hell he will tell her that. That will only lead to her new expectations.
"I had meetings that day."
"So You wanted to come but because of meetings you couldn't come."
Sebestian didn't know the essence of that question in the middle of night in front of his apartment. He was confused but when Shaira's hope cracked in front of him so fast. He knew that there was something big behind this.
"Why are we having this conversation at the first place, Shaira?"
"Because I have decided to pursue you. I realised after all this years, You are still the only man I want for me."
Sebestian eyes were wide as saucers. He was not at all ready. Shaira was not at all looking confused at this moment. Her face showed sheer determination.
"You are out of your mind right now."
Sebestian said but against his words his cheeks literally felt warm.
"I am not. You tell me what I should do to deserve you. You are a fantastic man. Kind and a warm place for the homeless like me. After all these years, one look at you at auction, I knew I was always yours. Tell me, Tian. What should I do to have you back?"
Sebestian eyes mirrored Shaira. He remembered those lines. He remembered all those lines because he has quite literally said it to himself a hundred times before telling it to her.
It was his confession to her.
"I can't believe you remember that."
Sebestian said as he took a step back in shock. Shaira took a step forward as she gave him a star stuck smile.
"I remember everything about you. So, I won't say it would be easy for me to handle all your hate at once. So cut me a little slack will you?"
Shaira said as her smile cracked to how little opening of hurt.
"I don't want to do anything with you. I hate you."
"No, you don't. Your eyes would have told me that long before you need to spell it out. They don't and I understand."
Shaira said as she took a step closer to him. Her head just touched his chin a slight adjustment, Sebestian could kiss her.
"What if I have a girlfriend?"
All the glory smashed into the wall as Shaira eyes looked into his. Sebestian could not even comprehend that. Why woudl he even say that but if Shaira would be close to her for two more minutes. Sebestian would surly loose his control.
"You don't have a girlfriend."
Shaira smiled briefly.
"If you had, You would not have kissed me in my room. You are a gentleman, Sebestian."
