"Hey Cass. Do we have practice today after school?" Says my bestfriend Shelby.
"Don't we always?" I said.
She laughed along with me as we make our way down to the gym to set up for volleyball practice. Coast
ch always likes it when we don't have to waste practice time setting up the net.
Me and Shelby are part of the 'it' crowd. But we are the mutual friends between everybody in the school. We don't make enemies. We are just friends with everybody.
And as typical as this sounds, I am dating the star football player at our school.
He is absolutely amazing! His name is Chase McGinnis. We have been dating for little over a year now. And I love him with all my heart.
We were almost to the gym when I felt some arms snake around my waist and lips kiss my neck.
I turned around to see my boyfriend. Who has blonde curly hair with some brown highlights. God he was so hot!
"Hey Babe" Chase said as we were walking.
"Hey" I said Kissing him quickly but passionately on the lips.
"Are y'all on your way to practice?" he said.
"Yep" we said popping the 'p'.
"Well y'all have fun. Shelby can I talk to Cassie for a minute alone. I wont keep her long." he said, smiling that smile that no one, even the teachers, can resist.
"Yeah, of course." My bestfriend said before disappearing inside the building.
Before I know it I was off my feet in a huge bear hug.
"Please, be careful with your shoulder" Chase said.
Oh yeah I forgot to tell y'all. I hurt my shoulder a couple weeks ago. The only people who knew was Shelby, Chase, and the trainer Ashley. Chase forced me to go after I told him what happened. I was practicing my serve and an hour later (without a break) my shoulder popped. My shoulder hurt soo much. I ignored it and went back practicing for 30 minutes more. People call me crazy. Because its junior year and I was taking away my chances at a volleyball scholarship.
"Yeah I will be fine. Don't worry about me. You are going to get hit by big, sweaty guys trying to get a football." I said with a little laugh.
He gave me a serious look, " im serious Cass. I know how much you love volleyball. And I know how much you want a scholarship too. If you don't go to the doctor, you might never be the same." he said with a sigh.
"You know I would go if I could." I cant go because I don't have insurance and I can't afford it.
"I already told you I wont pay for you." yeah his parents was loaded.
"And I have already told you I don't need charity money. My pride wont let me do nothing like that." I said with a sigh.
"I know. you are so stubborn, but I like it. I think its hot." he said with a wink.
"Oh really" I said wagging my eye brows.
"Yeah" he said before kissing me. It felt so good to. He was such a good kisser.
Then we were interrupted by my coach, rushing through the door.
"If you two don't separate soon you will be too out of breath to lead our warm-ups, Miller!" Coach Hann said. God I hate him sometimes.
Chase laughed and pulled us apart. "I will see you after practice then." trying to hold back a laugh. "Good day coach Hann" flashing his famous grin.
"Okay, well hurry up Miller. Everyone is waiting for you and you don't even have your knee pads on! You better be changed in the next two minutes or I will skin you alive!" he said. he always gets aggravated before a practice or a game.
I just hope my shoulder can hold up til the end of practice.
