The car ride to my house was so awkward. Everytime Chase tried to make a move to hole my hand Coach would grunt and we would pull apart. I laughed and I saw Coach smile in the rear-view mirror.

We pulled up to my Dads apartment complex Coach opened the door for me and helped me out. Chase intertwined our hands at the top of the car. When my dad rushes out of the house.

"What in the hell are you doing here?! I thought I told you to live with your stupid little boyfriend." Dad said shouting at me.

"I would be happy to leave, believe me, but I have to have a consent from you in order for me to stay there." I explained.

"Then why do you have your Coach with you?" Dad asked curiously.

"I am here to get the consent." Coach explained.

"Why should I give my consent? Why should I, you mean nothing to me anymore." he said completely angry.

"Because you can sign over your 'rights' over me right now and we never have to see each other ever again. I know that's what you want." I said in full confidence.

"Don't speak to me that way!" and before I know it he hits me across the face. I fall in pain.

"Why? Why do you do this to me? What did I do to make you hate me so much?" I asked through the tears.

"Because you are a selfish b*tch like your mother." I snarled at what my dad just said about me.

"I am nothing like my mother, but I am doing something that she should've done a long time ago." I said.

"Oh yeah? what is that?" He bluffed.

"I am leaving you. I don't care if you give your consent or not, I am leaving either way." I stood there with my arms crossed, as I began to walk away.

"You know that if you don't have my consent then you can't live with him." he nodded over at Chase. Chase looked like he was about to kill someone.

"Then I will go to Grandpa's!" I said as I spun back around.

"Your grandpa lives halfway cross the country, you wont do it." he bluffed.

"Oh really? Right now I have two witnesses that you hit me, so I can get you arrested now for child abuse. I have the support of my coach and Chase's family. I can pretty much do whatever I please." I said practically shaking with anger.

"You wont send me to jail." he bluffed.

"Bet!" I bluffed back. Then he pulled a gun out of his waistband and pointed it at us.

"I bet you wont now." he said with a smile. Then out of nowhere Chase jumps in front of me and he gets shot in the chest.

"Chase!!!" I screamed. My heart sunk, everything in my world is on hold.

Out of nowhere Cops come from every side, but the paramedics aren't here yet.

"Chase, Chase can you here me?! Don't leave me. don't leave me!" I cried.

"Cassie, I love you." Chase said faintly.

"I love you too." I cried. then I feel his heartbeat stop.

Chase is dead and gone forever.
