We set out and I took the lead. Then Beth, Marcus, Mr. Prior, and finally Caleb. Beth, Caleb, Mr. Prior, and I are armed. Marcus, I didn't trust and we only had 4 guns. We hid behind the wall when we heard voices and I looked out. I saw Peter. PETER!
We must've made a noise because he turned our way gun out. "Come out with your hands up. I don't know who you are, but I know someone's there.", he said. I told everybody to stay put and I came out, gun pointed at Peter. "What?!", he asked.
"Yeah it's me", I said with a smirk. "You can't shoot me, you don't have the guts.", he said. I scoffed, "Why would you say that", I said. Before he could answer I shot him in the arm and he fell with a gasp. Everyone came out and Mr. Prior took off his jacket and wrapped it around his wound. "Did you have to shoot him?", he asked. My reply was only a nod.
Peter said that we would have to take him with me otherwise he would sell us out. I growled and agreed. Marcus helped him and we started off. I told Beth to stay with everyone else, Mr. Prior said that he would stay with me, since I didn't have time to argue, I let him.
We took the elevator up and right away we heard gun shots come from a distant hallway. We headed out and soon we came to that hallway. I turned to the man behind me and was about to tell him the plan. But he was already up and down the hallway. All the guards fell, but so did he.
I ran to him with a sob and tried to stop the bleeding. He told me to go on. Then he died, right in my arms. I obeyed his last wish and went on. I opened the door to the monitor room, and pulled out my gun to face the person in charge. Suddenly my vision tunneled and my gun dropped as I saw who was running it.
