I wake up like I do every other morning to the stupid BEEP BEEP of my alarm. I get out of bed and change into something suitable to go out in, then I go to use the restroom, wash my face, and brush my teeth. I head back into my room to brush and straighten my hair and to do my makeup. I'm not really the pretty girl; I'm just below the bar of average. There's no boy waiting for me at school, and no prince online. People like me. Just not like that. I'm the smart girl that wears glasses, sits in the front of the class, is best friends with her english teacher, and that every guy sees as just their friend. But that's beside the point I have a good family, good friends, a good job, and a college scholarship even though i haven't turned in any applications yet.
As I finish getting ready I turn off the music coming from my phone as I walk into my living room where my dad and stepmother are sitting.
"Good morning." I say as i grab a granola bar off the table and pour some hot tea into a to-go mug.
"Good morning. Did you sleep well?" My dad asks while changing the channel from the Today show to Good Morning America. He can never choose what he wants to watch.
"I slept great what about you?"
"Great."
Ah me and dads conversations, no one else may find the humor in them but we do.
"Do you have to work today?" asks my stepmom Amy. I really like her, they've been married for four years, she also has a son who is two years older than me so he has already gone to college. I miss him a lot because he's just like a real brother to me.
"No. But I might go to the park I have my camera and sketch pad in my car. But I don't know I may not, I'll call you after school and tell you if I'm going to go over."
"Okay, that's fine but I have a work thing and your dad needs to come with me. But I'm sure we won't be late."
"Okay, I'll see you all later." I say as I hug them both on my way out.

I grab my bag and lock my car as I head into the Hell Hole that is Riverton High School. Actually that's a lie are school was just newly built a few years ago and I love school. It's more of the people in that made it bad. We had idiots, jocks, nerds, geeks, girly girls, pot heads, people that think they're hot stuff (But aren't), and then we have me and my friends smart, funny, and fabulous. Well that last one may just be in our heads but that's okay.
I get to my locker grab my books and head to Home Economics. This is the only class that has all my friends in it so in reality the day can only go downhill from here. I say hi to my friends Lily, Cara, and Walt. It's always great to be greeted by these great people because this is what always happens.
I walk in to the class and take my seat next to Walt while Cara and Lily look back from their seats directly in front of us.
"Hey guys!" I say
Walt is the first to say anything.
"Bitch you don't even know what happened this morning. Okay Imma tell you, so Mike and Lisa totally broke up! I know crazy right! So what happened was.."
"NO! You promised I could tell her!" shouts Lily.
"Well I lied plus I tell the story better soooo you can either let me tell it or walk away." Walt quickly responds
"Fine." Lily says
"So as I was saying before I was so rudely interrupted." says Walt as he glares at Lily "We were all in the cafeteria and Lisa was all up on Mike and he was all like 'Stop hoe I'm tryin to eat mah food.' and she was like 'Pay attention to me! Why don't you want to suck face with me in public places? What's the point of having a hot boyfriend if I can't show him off to everyone.' and he was all like 'Bitch I'm not livestock, ya treatin me like I'm some sort of sheep or some shit.' and she said 'Oh I know you didn't just go there with me and he said 'Well I just did' then she screamed, then he screamed, and the whole thing was just a hot ratchet ass mess."
"That is not what happened." says Cara
"Well I was paraphrasing." says Walt
"Well next time. Don't" says Lily
"Listen Bitch are seriously going to start with me?" asks Walt with a quite irritated voice.
"Guys stop." I say as I giggle at how stupid they are "I understand what you're getting at Walt but maybe next time you can just tell the story as it really happened. Okay?"
"Fine...But that isn't any fun." says Walt just giving in.
"So did you guys finish your report on how the economy has effected a middle class family yet?" I ask as I check my phone one last time.
"Sarah no one has finished it yet. We just got it on Monday." says Cara
"Yeah but it's due on Friday and today's Wednesday so you're telling me you're going to do a three page report on how what a court in another state does effects a family containing two working parents and two children in two days." I say as I watch all three of their faces slowly come to realize what I've just said.
"I guess you're right. Hey can we all meet at study hall in the library to work on it?" asks Lily
"Yeah I could really use that." says Walt
"Me too." says Cara
"Well I'll come too if you all want me to." I say doubtful that they'll want me to come since I've already finished
"Of course we want you to come! You're the only one that knows anything about the assignment or how to write a good report for that matter." says Walt
"Okay, but I might be a little late because Mrs. Fletcher ask me the other day if I could help with some things she needs to do. Don't worry though I won't be long." I say as Mrs. Carson walks in
"Okay class today we will be studying.........." she says as everyone turns to listen. I'm definitely ready to go to the park right about now.
