It's Wednesday and today's the day Josh and I have to talk with Dad and Amy about the trip to New York. Oh gosh this is gonna be awkward. No matter how comfortable we all are with each other it'll just be weird. But I go to school and have a nice day today's also the day Nathan finally comes back from vacation, he already knew everything that was going on I've talked to him everyday since he left.
After school I go to work, Josh came too because he was starting on his project. He asked me a lot of the same questions he asked for the report but this time I was answering them in front of a camera. I showed him, with camera in hand, around the gallery, including my favorite painting with the tree and birds. He also interviewed my manager Karen in private while I took care of a customer who ended up buying a small frame.
Once Josh finished interviewing Karen I clocked out and we headed to my house. When we got there we all sat at the dining room table, which we never sat at, and started talking.
"Now kids we all know why we wanted to talk to you. Correct?" my dad asks as Josh and I shake our heads yes.
"Okay good. So we're going to tell you two something because we trust you both." Dad says, "Josh, Amy and I saw your parents at the store the other day and ended up going to lunch together. We talked about the trip and whatnot and we all decided that you both are responsible and we have faith that we've taught you right from wrong so, we have decided to let you all go by yourselves."
"What?!?!" Josh and I both shout
"Yeah you're allowed to go without us and if you want you can ask you're friends to go as you're plus ones." Amy says smiling
"Really?" I ask
"Yes. But if you two do anything stupid trust me I will find out and Josh?" Dad asks
"Yes."
"You a fast runner?"
"Um I'm pretty fast, I guess."
"Good cause if I do find out, you'll need to run because I'm not afraid to go to jail and I will kill you." Dad says
"Oh shut up, leave the kids alone" Amy says
"Don't worry sir, you'll have no reason to kill me." Josh says seriously
"Okay you guys can leave now." Dad says getting up from the table
"Thank you guys!" I say as I hug both of them
"You're welcome." they both reply
"Okay well we're gonna go. I'll be back later." I say as Josh and I walk to towards the door.
"Okay, love you." Amy and Dad say
"Love you too." I say as we walk outside to Josh's car.
We drive to the park where we were meeting Cara, Lilly, Elijah, and Walt, who still hasn't told anyone else about Alice.
We get there and walk to the picnic table they were sitting at.
"Hey!" Lilly says as we sit down.
"Hey." Josh and I both say
"So how'd it go?" Cara asks
"Okay." Josh says grinning at me
"Okay? What's that supposed to mean?" Elijah asks
"It means it went okay." I say nudging Josh's elbow
"You two better stop whatever you two are doing or so help me God me I will not hesitate to shove my foot so far up your asses that it comes out your mouths." Walt says
