Chapter 7

It had been a week since everything that happened at Nathan's and in the park. Josh said he wanted to keep it hush, hush until we had our first official date before everyone started talking. And when someone tells me a secret, I keep it a secret. Except for my other three parts. I mean come on they're my bast friends for goodness sake! Their minds and mine practical worked in sync (most of the time), but not this time. I decided to tell them in the 15 minutes we had between 1st and 2nd periods.

"WHAT?!!??!" Shouts Walt as I finish telling the trio everything.

"Yeah." Is all I can say due to fear of what their reactions will be bacuse of the tone in Walt's voice

"Sarah, I have to agree with Walt. Why on earth are you doing this to yourself? You two are from completely different worlds." says Lilly

"Wait, what? I'm not talking about her and Josh. I'm talking about the fact that she sang in front of other people and we weren't there to see it." says Walt

"Are you kidding you're more worried that she sang some stupid song but not that she might be getting herself into something that she might regret?" asks Lilly

"Yes, that is exactly what I'm saying. I've been trying to get her to sing for me forever. And of course I worried about her. I would and will when she gets involved with anyone. But I really like Josh and I misjudged him. And I know Sarah cares for him and that he cares for her. I mean have you ever seen the way they look at each other? I know I have and it's not just the little teenage fling that you see on Tumblr. It's different because it's real." recoils Walt

"Listen I know they like each other I'm just not sure how long it will last." says Lilly with a sigh

They start to bicker about me and Josh, and how we should and shouldn't be together. As they argue Cara looks at me with a half smile and shakes her head. Finally I get tired of hearing them and say, "Guys I'm standing right here." And with that they both give me side glares as if I've made them both upset.

"Well you all can think whatever you all want to but I think Sarah should do whatever she sees will best be in her interest. I mean sure she could just be blinded by love but I honestly think she's stronger than that." says Cara while Walt and Lilly both scrunch their faces up "Seriously think about it. Who didn't go to the mall with us because she had to study? And who took off work so that she could come and bake cupcakes til 3:30 in the morning for our project?" Shes says referring to a project her and Walt had for social studies "And finally who already has college scholarships because she's worked so hard in school?"  

They didn't say anything for several minutes until Walt spoke up and said "I'm still sad that I didn't get to hear her sing."

"Oh you can see it." says Josh walking up from behind me, "Here." He says while handing Walt his iPad.

"What?" I ask as Cara, Lilly, and I walk next to Walt to see the screen.

"I posted you singing at Nathan's on YouTube." he replies with a smile on his face.

"What?!" All five of us ask shocked.

"Josh! How on earth could you do that without my permission? Especially since you know how I feel about that!" I say

"Because you're great and people need to realize that. You more than anyone." He says as the music on the iPad starts.

It goes on and on as I sit on a bench nearby.

"Wow." says Walt before anyone else says anything

"You're......" says Cara pausing

"Terrible. I know." I say
