I wake up at 8:00 on Saturday. I get showered and dressed then head downstairs where I say good morning to dad and Amy, and make some tea and toast the go back up stairs to my room. I turn on the television to Good Morning America just to have some background noise while I turn on my laptop and sit in bed. I go onto YouTube and see that the video I posted yesterday has already went viral. I decide to watch a few videos while I eat and my hair dries. When I finish eating I get a call from Josh.
"Hello." I say
"Hey!"
"What are you doing?"
"Nothing. I just ate and I'm getting ready."
"Oh okay. So hey do you have to work today?"
"No, why?"
"We need to talk." He says seriously.
"Okay." I say, "Where?"
"How about Starbucks? Can you meet me there at 11?" He says knowing Nathan was on vacation.
"Okay. That's fine with me." I say
"Okay, I'll talk to you then. Bye."
"Bye." I say as I hang up the phone.
Though it's early in our relationship I just can't see Josh and I being the "No you hang up first! Hehe!" kind of people. Not saying we won't be, I just can't see that happening. I mean we're both very realistic about life, though we both like each other, we just aren't those people. Classic example of 'there are two kinds of people in the world. '
I straighten my hair and put on foundation, mascara and eyeliner. Then I go downstairs and tell dad and Amy that I'll be leaving soon and watch some T.V. with them.
I scroll through my Instagram feed while I sit on the couch in the living room and finish the rest of my tea. I decide that it's probably time for me to leave.
"Well I'm gonna get going." I say
"Okay drive safe." My dad says as I give him a hug before doing the same to Amy.
As I drive to the Starbucks located two blocks from Nathan's I listen to a local radio station. There's a host interviewing some woman that is related to someone who auditioned for America's Got Talent but didn't make it through the first round.
Once I park, I walk inside and order a Chai Tea Latte. The woman taking my order smiles at me a little to brightly. I thought she was just being nice but soon I found out why she smiled like that.
"Here's your order ma'am." she says handing me my drink.
"Thank you." I say as I pay then put a dollar in the tip jar. As I walk away I hear the woman whisper to the other woman working with her.
"That girl right there." She says whilst I glance at her enough to see that she nodded her head towards me. I prepare myself for 'She's terrible' and 'What a loser' as her friend looks at me and says "Yeah."
"She's going to be famous someday." The woman says
"What?" her friend asks
"She has one of the most uniquely beautiful voices I have ever heard."
"Where did you hear her sing?"
"On the internet. I'll show you the video after she leaves."
I smile to myself as I take a seat at a table as I pull out my phone to look over the local news. There's a few drug busts and forest fires, the very reason I don't like the news, it's always bad stuff. But as I scroll I see my picture with the caption "The Next Big Thing". What on earth?!? Why is there a story on me?
