"Oh, hey Billy..." I said awkwardly as he joined the circle on the floor.

"Hey Destiny. I thought you were supposed to be at a friends house?" He questioned and it took me a few seconds to answer.

"Oh, well um, you see, they cancelled just now and I was about to text you but then I assumed you had already made other plans so I was just li--" I was cut off by Billy.

"Can I talk to you," he had an eyebrow raised, "somewhere...private?" I nodded my head as we both got up and headed upstairs to one of the guest bedrooms.

As soon as we reached the guest bedroom, I shut the door behind me as Billy faced me with his arms across his chest with an eyebrow raised like before.

"If you didn't want to have dinner with me tonight, why didn't you just say so? I would've understood." I just sighed and sat on the bed with my hands covering my face.

"I don't know..." I told him the truth, "I thought it was a date."

"So, you're saying that if I were to ask you out on a date, you would say no?" I looked up from my hands and shook my head violently.

"No! No, no, no, no, no. That's not what I meant at all! I was just surprised... that's all."

"You sure?" Billy asked unsure sitting on the bed next to me. I nodded my head. "Why... why would you be surprised if I were to ask you out on a date?" I thought for a minute.

"Well, for starters, you're the Billy Unger. You've got so many girls after you. Why would you choose me? Second, I'm not the prettiest girl there is. Why would you choose me? And every boy there is, they think I'm a nerd. No one ever asks me out."

"Who cares what other people think? So, what if you're not the prettiest girl out there? You're pretty enough for me. I choose you because I like your nerdy personality. The way you jam out to Maroon 5 in your pajamas. Or the way you wrinkle your nose when you laugh. I like all those quirky little things about you that no one else has, Destiny." he tapped the tip of my nose which got me to giggle. He placed his hand on my thigh. "I like you, for you." I looked up at him and smiled. No one ever said such sweet, kind things about me and it was nice to hear it coming from him lips. Ever since I met him on that first day on the set, I had a crush on him. No one knew about the crush. Not even Kelli. I knew she had a crush on him too. I also knew that Kelli had a much bigger chance going out with Billy than I did, so I kept my feelings all bottled up inside me. I saw his eyes trail down to my lips and his hand lift itself from my leg and up to my chin as he started to lean closer to me. His eyes closed and so did mine as we were just a few centimeters away from each other.

"What the heck is taking you guys so lo--" I jumped away from Billy as we heard Kelli shove the door open. We looked at her and saw her jaw wide open. "Destiny?! Were you guys about to kiss?!" she pulled me away from Billy. "You know I have feelings for him! You just ruined it!" I was waiting for a punch, but then Billy spoke up.

"You have feelings for me, Kelli?" he said as he got up from the bed and pulled us apart. He took Kelli's hands in his and I got upset.

"Yeah." she said as she blushed and looked down at their hands that were intertwined. Billy then abruptly jerked his hands away and said something I never thought he would say.

"I don't."

"You don't?!" Kelli and I said in unison as our jaws dropped from shock.

"Nope," he said as walked over to me and grabbed my hands in his. It was Kelli's turn to be jealous. "I have feelings for Destiny." I smiled at him and intertwined our fingers.

"My sister? Out of all the girls there are. You pick her?" I was deeply offended. What I couldn't believe was the fact that my own sister didn't believe I could get the guy. Kelli was always the one with the guy. I felt Billy's arm trail its way across my back and laid itself on the side of my waist as he jerked me closer to him.

"Why would you say that about your own sister? She's so much more beautiful than you are. I'm not surprised by the fact that you're single," I "oohed" at his statement.

"Whatever," Kelli crossed her arms across her chest, "I can get a guy any day. Who needs you two, anyhow? I don't!" She turned around, stomping away as Billy and I were laughing at her.

"I can get a guy any day!" Billy mimicked Kelli as we started to walk downstairs. We were going to join the group and play more truth or dare, but Billy wanted to take me out on a date, and that's how we became Destiny and Billy.
