Mahesh’s Uncle: Mahesh! Looks like becoming a doctor made you forget your own people. Do we need an appointment to see you now?
Mahesh (chuckling): Come on, Mavayya, it’s not like that.
Mahesh’s Aunty: Mahesh! You’ve become even busier after Prabhas’s wedding. No calls, no visits.
Mahesh (chuckling): Not at all, Attaya. Just caught up with work.
Jyoshna (teasingly): Excuses, excuses. Admit it, Bava, you forgot all of us.
Mahesh (raising an eyebrow): Oh, so you’re still as dramatic as ever?
Jyoshna (grinning): And you’re still the same serious doctor.
Mahesh: Good to know some things never change.
Mahesh’s Uncle (laughing): You two haven’t met in years, yet you’re already bickering.
Just then, Mahesh’s aunt noticed Sam at the staircase.
Mahesh’s Aunt: Oh! Isn’t that Anushka’s cousin?
Mahesh’s Uncle: Yes, we saw her at Prabhas’s wedding.
Mahesh turned toward Sam.
Mahesh: Yes… this is Samantha.
Mahesh’s Aunt (smiling warmly): Ah! You look even more beautiful now, dear.
Sam (politely): Thank you, Aunty. It’s nice to see you again.
Mahesh: And this is my uncle and aunt.(He turned slightly.) And this—
Jyoshna (cutting him off with a smile): “I’m Jyoshna! Mahesh Bava’s Mardal.”
Sam’s smile remained polite, but a flicker of something unreadable crossed her eyes.

Sam: Oh, I see. Nice to meet you, Jyoshna.
Jyoshna (grinning): Nice to meet you too, Akka.
Sam’s fingers twitched slightly at that word. She glanced at Mahesh, who exhaled quietly.
Sam raised an eyebrow slightly but kept her tone casual.
Sam: I don’t remember seeing you at the wedding.
Jyoshna: Yeah, I couldn’t make it. I was in Bangalore, focusing on my career.
Sam: Oh? What do you do?
Jyoshna: Software development! My team had a big project, so I couldn’t take leave.
Mahesh’s Uncle: She’s been working hard, just like Mahesh. But at least she calls her family. (He gave Mahesh a teasing look.)
Mahesh (rolling his eyes): Here we go again.
Mahesh’s Uncle: Do you know Mahesh? Jyoshna was asking about you even before stepping inside the house.
