Anti found himself depressed again.

He had all the toys in the world. He could mess with so many people.

He had people around that cared about him.

But it wasn't the same.

He missed the Septics.

But also. . . .he missed being humanoid as well.

'At least back home, I could talk to Marv . . . . Jameson would put me in clothes. Jackie would treat me like another person even if it was annoying. . . . Henrik rubbed my belly and Chase gave me tons of food'

He was broken-hearted.

Did Henrik KNOW he was here?

Did they know and just didn't care?

Did they think he was better off here?

But then what about Marvin and his promise to turn him back?

Was it all a lie?

Anti sighed, looking out the window on his little cat tower in Dark's office.

Dr. Iplier was watching him closely, not that he realized it.

'He's exhibiting signs of depression again. . . damn, I thought all of this would work.' Dr. Iplier had an inkling that he knew what was wrong.

'He misses his previous owners'

Dr. Iplier decided that perhaps he needed to talk to Dark about it. Why has no one called yet about this sad little black cat? Was he really lost or was he abandoned?

Dr. Iplier sighed, "Dark?"

Dark glanced up at him from his papers, "Yes? What is it, Dr.? Is there something else bothering you?"

"Actually, yes" Dr. Iplier notioned to Anti, "I'm worried about our little friend, here. Even though he was happier yesterday, it seems to have quickly wore off. He's depressed"

Dark nodded, "I've noticed. . . he doesn't want to play as much like before. Lethargic"

"Correct" Dr. Iplier nodded, "I'm  beginning to wonder if Illinois really did put up those flyers, Dark. . . You see, I spoke to Henrik just yesterday and mentioned him but Henrik didn't say that he saw any flyers."

"And?" Dark didn't get the point.

"Well . .  it appears that they're missing a cat as well and he never mentioned seeing any flyers for this little guy and. . . . wait a second"

Dark blinked, staring at him as if he were ignorant.

Honestly, he probably was at this point.

Dark sighed, "The Septics. . . . . are missing. . .. . a cat? Recently? Did the doctor say what this cat LOOKED like?"

Dr. Iplier shook his head, "No. . . I mean I mentioned we recently FOUND a cat but he didn't say anything, either."

Dark chewed on a nail and glanced over at Anti who was lost in his own little world, not even listening to them.

Dark sighed and put his head in his hands, "Fuck. . . . can you send for Illinois to come in here, please?"

"Right away" Dr. Iplier and him had the same exact thoughts.

Dark stared at Anti while Dr. Iplier rushed to go get Illinois.

When the adventurer came in, Dark stood up.

That wasn't a good sign.

Illinois nodded to him, "What did you need me for, Dark?"

"Illinois. . .  I need you to tell me the truth. . . "
