Everyone stared at him and Anti mewed, "Are you sure?"

Marvin sighed with a big smile, "Yep! Tested it out a few times a little bit ago! Thanks for Chase getting you out of here so I could work, I got through it all a lot faster than I thought I would!"

"Oh" Anti flicked his tail, not really sure what else to say.

Henrik observed Anti carefully and smiled, patting his little head, "Are you ready? Jackie can go first if you'd prefer?"

Jackie scratched at his ear roughly, "Yes, please. I've had my fun but I'm sick of fleas"

"FLEAS!?" Anti bounced away from him, "You asshole! Yeah, him! Splash him with that shit first!"

Jackie just laughed and padded on over to Marvin, "Go ahead. I'm all for it!"

Marvin prayed for a second before quickly pouring the first antidote on top of Jackie.

Jackie fought the instinctive urge to shake it off and shut his eyes tight.

In just a few moments, he opened his eyes again and looked at his hands.

HUMAN HANDS!

Jackie sighed in relief, "Did it work? Looks like it worked"

"It did" Marvin breathed easy, "Everything looks accounted for. All limbs are proper, no tail and no animal sounds. No urges?"

Jackie paused, thinking, "Not. . .that I know of?"

"Good"

Chase pat his back and hugged him, "Good to have you back, bro! I like you as a dog but I prefer ya as a dude, dude!"

"Me too" Jackie laughed.

Then he noticed the little black cat. Anti looked nervous still.

"Hey bud" Jackie reached down and picked him up, "What's wrong? You can be human again!"

Anti refused to even look at him, "Yeah but. . . ..  what if you just hate me again like before? Aren't I better as a cat?"

Marvin set the antidote down on the table and took him from Jackie, holding him by his armpits, "Anti . . .. I assure you, we'd love you either way. But to be fair, you were already kind of like a cat even when you were human"

"I was?"

"Strangely, yes" Henrik agreed.

'You were always so fun to watch and observe even though you were trying to 'kill' us. We knew by your many attempts that you didn't really want to' Jameson signed.

Anti settled in Marvin's arms and looked up at him, "Can I still live here when I'm human again?"

"I'll have to rent a storage unit but yeah, dude!" Chase answered him, "You can have the storage room"

Anti's ears perked up.

They really didn't mind him living there? As a human?

They wanted him around not just as a cat?

"Can I become a cat again if I want? If I decide I'd prefer not being a human?"

Marvin thought about it and sighed, "We'll see. Why don't you, for now, try and stick it out as a human for a while and go from there? Hm? I promise we'll love you either way, Anti"

He was glad cats couldn't cry, otherwise he'd be tearing up by now.

Instead, Anti settled for nudging his head against Marvin's chin with a deep purr.
