As Duncan took one sharp swerve into a secluded alleyway, Courtney's face almost hit the road. She was definitely not going to get out of this alive.
'Dear lord, if I get out of this alive, I'll tutor any brain dead person on this earth- even Duncan!' (tdi reference eheeh)
'I guess I'll see you at my house tomorrow at 7 then?'
She stays silent, her thoughts raging.

COURTNEY POV:
'What's the matter princess? Do you want a true-love's kiss from your knight in shining armour? I mean, I did practically save you!' he says from in front of me. There was no way I would sit next to him.
His comment sends fire through my skin. I tug at his hair, making his eyes lock with mine.
'Shut up, Duncan! You got me into this stupid mess.'
I fabricate a mental note to make his life hell as soon as we got out of here.
'Oh yeah? And who's still here?'
'I got dragged into this. You hoisted me over your shoulder like I was no heavier than a decorative couch cushion!' I argue back.
'Don't tell me you thought I was a..............twink!?' he declares dramatically, hoisting his arm onto his heart, grinning from ear to ear. I can't help but laugh at the stupidity.
'You may have won this time Duncan, but that's just because you're naturally stupid. And stop grinning like that. It's so annoying. ' I say, still locking eyes with him and smiling.
I then realise his head is in my lap. And I'm smiling at him genuinely. And I feel comfortable with a guy. And I feel like I might explode.
I haven't smiled in four years.
I've never felt comfortable with any guys. Not even my countless boyfriends, who were either using me, set by my parents or a secret creep (*cough* scott *cough*).
I wonder what he tastes like.
